Current election proposals are:

Aging

As soon as you think you have already experienced everything, you are immediately proven wrong. I've gotten used to the fact that people are now allowed to vote even if they can't get to school without their dad or mom.

But now even mothers are motivating their daughters and probably also their sons to become so-called as early as primary school age Anti aging creams Smearing it on your face is too much of a good thing, at least for me!

Our society has been violating Article 6 (2) of our Constitution for a long time.

Article

(1) Marriage and family are under the special protection of the state order.

(2) Care and upbringing of children are the natural right of parents and the first duty incumbent upon them. About their activity the state community watches over.

...

Basic Law, Article 6

Since we cannot comply with Article 6 (3) for cost reasons, because where should we take the countless children and who should they then care for and raise them, we should at least ensure through punishment that raven parents start doing this, at least in accordance with their duty to comply with Article 6 (2).

But the problem is probably much bigger! Because according to Article 19 (2) of our Basic Law, “In no case... a fundamental right may be infringed in its essence.” - but this is completely pointless when we have long since given up all of our fundamental rights and obligations on our own.

And so our country and our society should already be quite well “aged” for all totalitarians, regardless of their stripe – “well-done,” so to speak!

conversations

The last few days have been filled with good online and real conversations. Just yesterday there was a very pleasant conversation with a Voltino employee about the Europa Ball. And shortly before that, the first agreements regarding the 8. Hertenstein Talks. It is quite fitting that the Federalist Manifesto for the 2024 European elections is now being circulated. This manifesto was developed in part at the 7th Hertenstein Talks and is also can be found here in the forum. Both events have now really taken off. In between, there are always meetings about the local elections - here too the number of meetings has noticeably increased.

And so I can't really get around to working on a draft resolution at the moment John Marsia and Francois Mennerat for comment and, if necessary, support.

The Federal Committee of the Union of European Federalists (AISBL), having been convened in Brussels on April 5, 2024,

reminder

its current and long-standing purpose, object and aims as recalled by Article 3 of its newly revised statutes, in particular in its 1st paragraph, which provides that the association “works for the creation of a European Federation, endowed with supranational institutions with limited but real sovereign powers, consisting of:

– a Federal Government,

– a Parliament elected by direct universal suffrage,

– a Federal Senate representing Member States and possibly the Regions,

– a Court of Justice,

and Bound to guarantee basic liberties, including the right of opposition and to ensure the maximum participation of citizens at all levels of government";

recalling

that this goal can definitely not be achieved by an international treaty drawn up by the governments of the Member States or under their supervision, but rather by a true constitution democratically adopted by the citizens of Europe;

commits itself

to expressly require from the newly elected representatives of European citizens to the next European Parliament that they convene as a constituent assembly, in order to draft a European democratic constitution that, after being ratified by the European citizens, sets up a European federal State.

Francois Mennerat

In any case, it shows once again how European federalists, sometimes independently of one another, continue to work on the same idea, but also repeatedly cling to the same differences - although these are now becoming increasingly common in view of the increasing threat from centralists, nationalists or even totalitarians Resolution could wait.
