Comments & Posts

When visitors write comments on my weblog, I collect the data shown in the comment form on the post pages or on the guest blogger page, as well as the visitor's IP address and user agent string (this identifies the browser), to support the automatic detection of spam.

An anonymized character string (also known as a hash) can be created from your e-mail address and passed to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. Here you will find Privacy Policy of the Gravatar service.

After your comment or mini-blog post has been approved, your profile picture will also be publicly visible in the context of your comment, provided you have saved it to Gravatar.

I only release comments or contributions if they can also be assigned to a specific person.

share buttons

I used the Shariff Wrapper Tool to create share buttons from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, Reddit, buffer, PayPal and Patreon in compliance with data protection regulations, ie without any code, ie communication with these social networks is handled by a script stored on the server, which acts as an intermediary between the respective social network and the user who presses the button. You are only directly connected to Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn when you access the respective network via a share button. Before that, the social networks cannot collect any data about you.

Amazon PartnerNet

I use the Amazon PartnerNet of the company, Inc. on the blog. The responsible bodies within the meaning of the data protection declaration are Amazon Europe Core S.à.rl, Amazon EU S.à.rl, Amazon Services Europe S.à .rl and Amazon Media EU S.à.rl, all four based at 5, Rue Plaetis, L-2338 Luxembourg, and Amazon Instant Video Germany GmbH, Domagkstr. 28, 80807 Munich. Amazon Germany Services GmbH, Marcel-Breuer-Str. 12, 80807 Munich. By using this Amazon PartnerNet, your data can be transmitted to Amazon, stored and processed.

What is the Amazon PartnerNet?

The Amazon Affiliate Program is an affiliate marketing program from the online shipping company Like every affiliate program, the Amazon PartnerNet is also based on the principle of commission. I occasionally place affiliate links on my weblog and if you click on them and then also purchase a product through Amazon, I may receive an advertising fee.

What data is stored by the Amazon PartnerNet?

As soon as you interact with Amazon's products and services, Amazon collects data from you. Amazon distinguishes between information that you actively give to the company and information that is automatically collected and stored. The so-called "automatically collected information" is primarily stored via cookies. This includes information on user behavior, IP address, device information (browser type, location, operating system) or the URL. Amazon also saves the “click stream”; this means the path (sequence of the pages) that you as a user travel to get to a product. This is how Amazon recognizes that you have clicked on an affiliate link via my weblog.

If you have an Amazon account and are logged in while you are surfing my weblog, the data collected can be assigned to your account. You can easily prevent this by logging out of Amazon before surfing here.

You can find the relevant one here Privacy Policy from Amazon.
