coffee

poster

The very last details will be agreed upon this morning, then the posters will begin to be put up at 18.00 p.m. Some parties and we Free Voters have already secured one or two locations through event announcements. This is probably due to the most highly motivated campaigners in each camp, because Heilbronn is much bigger than you could imagine before putting up the posters. However, this realization usually only comes to mind when, after all the posters that have been put up, there is still a lot of Heilbronn left without posters.

This time the fun passes me by almost without a trace, because at the same time that my fellow campaigners are roaming through the city, I am already in Bühl at the state assembly of the EUROPA-UNION. But as soon as I get back, I'll check whether there are still a few posters to put up and whether the city administration has given us permission to exchange our posters during the election campaign. Then I would also have a chance.

In any case, I've secured at least a few brochures that I'll be dropping into my fellow citizens' mailboxes in the coming weeks. Maybe there will be one or two opportunities for conversation.

Dancing

Since a lot of things are piling up for me at the moment and some things simply cannot be solved because far too many representatives of the people are fighting for their sinecure using every possible means, I used the time I had left yesterday a little more productively and danced with my better half .

I had fun once and asked other citizens why bans were even imposed in Heilbronn. On the one hand, it's probably pure populism, because it's easier to score points with less sophisticated fellow citizens. B. to call a weapons ban zone, and on the other hand it is again about one's own sinecures.

Left-wing election advertising is permitted, while right-wing election advertising is prohibited. The advertising car on the left is parked in a public underground car park and has been driving through the city for at least two weeks. The advertising trailer on the right in the picture has been on private property for a few days, but the city administration is convinced that it broadcasts its advertising into public spaces.

Things get even more exciting when, in contrast to the... local councilors responsible for the ban and the city employees responsible for its implementation as well as the employees in the legal office of the city of Heilbronn take a look at the Heilbronn “Statute on Special Uses on Public Streets”. Because then the reader comes to the conclusion that, at least under current law, we citizens cannot be prohibited from advertising on private property.

But as long as the Heilbronn clique around the mayor continues to be in charge, nothing will change in our city - a dance on the volcano!

“Nous dansons sur un volcan…”

Narcisse-Achille de Salvandy, 1830

“We’re dancing on a volcano here – but we’re dancing. Today we do not want to investigate what ferments, boils and roars in the volcano, and only how one dances on it is the subject of our consideration.

Heinrich Heine, Carnival in Paris (February 7, 1842)
