As soon as I returned, I was able to admire the first election campaign posters. Even though I am very satisfied with the work the Free Voters have done, I still have to acknowledge that the competitors were able to do a lot more with more money. And so we free voters simply have to continue to convince voters with content.
I then spent the evening with my better half at the Spring Festival of the Free Voters. A successful end to the weekend, even if some tasks were left behind.
But this morning we continue with a drive through the northern part of the district. Let’s see how many donations I can “raise” for meseno. I probably won't be able to make an appointment in Stuttgart for a status assessment regarding posters. And so I'm not only excited to see whether the city administration will be a little more normal again, but also whether I'll find time to prepare my upcoming lecture.
Weekend Trip
I spent most of this weekend in the monastery. The Bühlerhöhe is certainly still an attraction today, which makes the older ones of us clearly aware of our own transience. I still remember how Max Grundig The hotel was reopened in 1988 and crowned with a Bilderberg conference in 1991. Before that it had been a spa hotel for many years, which was popular among other things Konrad Adenauer was visited.
This time, however, we went straight to the monastery Maria Hilf Monastery in Bühl. The current reason for this was this year's state assembly of the EUROPA-UNION. I will report on this in more detail in a separate article on another website, just this much: the visit was worth it again and the end of the Saturday evening in the bakery brought back good memories of past stays in the monastery.
The discovery of the weekend, however, was on Friday evening Tamnak Thai in Bühl itself. I was impressed by an excellent peanut sauce and then the discussion about the origin and husbandry of the ducks used for some of the dishes. “Happy” ducks that wander over rice fields to get their food there simply produce good meat in the end.
My meal was a kind of “beef and potato stew” and this one was swimming in peanut sauce. Next time I visit I will have a duck recommended, but it will also have to be swimming in peanut sauce.
Pleasing
The Galeria Kaufhof location on Fleiner Straße is not one of the 16 branches that are included in the current series of closures. This is certainly thanks to the 130 or so employees on site, who not only make shopping easier, but also make it a pleasant experience.
Now we can only hope that the entire group will recover and that the efforts of the Galeria employees on site will also result in higher demand and visitor frequency here in Heilbronn. With a little more experimentation you could also reduce the vacancies in this large house, which will certainly increase the attractiveness of the entire house and also radiate into the entire area around Fleiner Straße. The neighboring traders would certainly also be very grateful.
