Barthel area

After a first glimmer of hope a few years ago, when we were promised a 10-storey building that also looked very attractive, is now being built at this very prominent location a replacement building placed, which is architecturally and in terms of size far behind the old Barthel and not only defaces this corner, but also creates further problems with far too few parking spaces; cars are already parked right into Kiliansplatz.

What has gotten our municipal council, since it was previously advertised that Heilbronn should not only catch up architecturally, but also set completely new standards. I strongly doubt whether a hotel with car dealership character and garage charm in the center of the city and then on a line of sight fulfills this intention.

Yesterday's discussion of the municipal councils, whether a solar system on the roof makes sense there or not, could have been left alone. So I hope that future city councilors will ensure that such buildings are quickly replaced by better and more beautiful ones - perhaps then also by buildings that implement sustainability claims in an innovative way.

100 billion

The latest lie from Olaf Scholz. I already suspected itthat the 100 billion promised to the Bundeswehr this year for weapons, equipment and ammunition and that the 2% rule for the Bundeswehr budget will not be observed immediately.

100 billion for bankers, 100 billion for big industry or 100 billion for work and social affairs is not a problem for us. And if it's not enough, then there's just the same thing again.

As we have been able to follow in the media since yesterday, the additional 100 billion for the Bundeswehr is exactly the money that one might want to use to possibly comply with the 2% rule for the Bundeswehr budget in the next few years, if nothing comes up again and you haven't already wasted those 100 billion on everything else.

And I also doubt that the Bundeswehr, like most NATO countries for a long time, will finally get the American F35 jets that the Air Force has often been promised. That would only have worked if the responsible authorities and especially the usual companies had been "compensated" — meaning they would have received even more money for nothing at all.

But since there is no money for the F35 jets and for the "compensation payments" from the usual suspects, there will be no jets, just like there will be no ammunition. But that doesn't matter, since the Bundeswehr is now getting into refugee care, then in the summer - during the holidays - will help out in the Ahr Valley, and then in the fall it will provide more support to the administration with COVID-19.

Ranks for dummies

In view of the impending Third World War, many Germans are suddenly interested in military ranks. I'll take the opportunity to briefly and clearly present the military hierarchy in the Bundeswehr from top to bottom.

At the top of the hierarchy are the "equals of God", which is due to the primacy of politics. These are divided into all politicians from the mayor of the Free Voters to the very last backbencher of the Union to the Federal President of the Left and form the military-political leadership - the military elite of the Bundeswehr, so to speak. The rank group of god-equals is supplemented by the civilian entourage of the politicians, which consists of drivers, porters, prostitutes, consultants, journalists, development workers and political students. Some experts assume that God is somewhere in between. I, on the other hand, am convinced that he left the Bundeswehr a long time ago - one could expect nothing else from a conscientious objector.

The task of this rank group is the leadership of the Bundeswehr, which, to put it very roughly, is limited to ensuring your own well-being.

After the rank group of “godlike” comes the rank group of “care cases”. This group is made up of civilian employees of the Bundeswehr. Their task is explained very quickly. This rank group is only there to make life as difficult as possible for the rest of the Bundeswehr and to make the missions hell. Since this is a very important task, this rank group should now be the largest in number.

After the rank group of "care cases" comes the rank group of "uniform wearers". This rank group is very easy to recognize visually. As soon as you ask yourself how this person got into a uniform at all, hopefully the seams won't burst right away or what this person actually does with such clothing, then you have a member of this rank group in front of you.

The task of this rank group is, in addition to the mere existence, the application of all officially procured uniforms. But without this rank group, the Bundeswehr would hardly be noticed in public.

Last but not least, then come the soldiers. Of which the enlisted men represent the very bottom of this military food chain. And although it is numerically the smallest rank group in the Bundeswehr, the soldiers have to take on the most difficult work.

As soon as they return from the missions, they are deployed in administrations or used for other tasks that no one in Germany wants to do anymore. And when they have fulfilled these, they can return to the missions.

The really interesting thing is that the rank group of soldiers - although in absolute short supply - is still considered a bulk consumable that you can burn as you like without restrictions and as you wish.

After all, every German knows that soldiers are the only real civil failures in Germany who have learned nothing, can do nothing and who can be accused of murder and manslaughter with impunity. And should a soldier die, it is always his own fault - he could have become something else, e.g. B. Politicians.
