Now it's taking its revenge that our people's representatives promised us the moon in this regard for years, but always voted very differently in Stuttgart, Bonn and Berlin.

But even if decades of inaction were to be remedied with "staggeringly high investments," we would face another problem, and that is that Heilbronn main train station and its surroundings as well as all access and exit roads are no longer designed for such traffic.

In order to correct this, we need far more financial resources and decades for the conversion, expansion and new construction of the corresponding infrastructure - which has so far been or will be designed for a proud Autostadt and today's Fahrradstadt.

Yesterday only 9 out of 40 city councilors opposed the continued employment of Agnes Christian pronounced as Heilbronn mayor. This once again confirmed her statement that "it was the best decision of my life to come to Heilbronn". Although this may apply to you personally, it was and is not a win for Heilbronn.

And so it only remains for me to congratulate the nine councilors on their decision. And even the two abstentions can probably be credited with a remnant of conscience.

Agnes Christian will certainly not disturb all this, not even the fact that after eight years in Heilbronn she was only able to win over 27 city councilors. It would be very interesting for us citizens to know how many city councilors voted against their own convictions.

But that doesn't change the fact that the municipal council has once again encouraged a further aging of the city leadership — how students can be attracted to Heilbronn or even inspired by it remains a very big Heilbronn secret.

After an Aldi store literally stood in the way of a planned expansion of the educational campus on Europaplatz in the north, a so-called western expansion is now coming according to a report in the Heilbronner Voice (July 01.07.2022, 30: XNUMX). And now the media market is to be moved. There could also be a new bridge over the Neckar in the direction of the Neckar arc, which, by the way, has already been seen on older plans of the Neckar arc. If I read the newspaper article from Tanya Ochs understood correctly, there should also be a bridge to the existing campus.

In any case, living, shopping and partying will be possible in the new part of the campus, with which one would like to try to get a little more impetus into the educational campus after the lectures and on weekends - whether this ultimately motivates the students to do so, even outside of the lecture times staying in Heilbronn remains to be seen.

However, another 7 students and the campus staff required to look after them will certainly be an asset for Heilbronn.
