The Brenner dance school celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday. And Klaus Brenner found the right ambience in Lehrensteinsfeld. Interestingly, I knew this village from my own dance school days, because one of my dance partners lived there. In the last few decades I've definitely driven through "Lärimmi", as the US soldiers called this community, and may have passed the castle there, but I had never seen it before.

And so I found that very exciting Kerstin and Klaus Brenner hosted their anniversary ball there. Even more exciting when I found out that the ball will take place in the garden.

My dance school days began on the avenue with the wolf; my parents had already learned to dance there. Then a new dance teacher Ernest H Boppel took over the school and moved it to Paulinenstraße 15, now called “wolf-boppel”. I ended my career as a dancer there at the end of 1980. It was probably around this time that I started there Kerstin and Klaus Brenner her career as a very successful dance teacher. Whereby their coronation took place 25 years ago, namely as both own dance school opened, which is now headquartered at Wilhelmstraße 23.

Ever since my better half found out there's a dance school near us, Let's both learn to dance again And so we come full circle, because my better half also danced at Wolf-Boppel in the 1980s.

And so it was natural for both of us that we accepted the invitation from Kerstin and Klaus Brenner followed to the castle in Lärimmi. And I was immediately impressed by the ambience, which reminded me of maneuver balls from the 1980s and of my own party, which I was allowed to organize with "my" company at the time in our sponsored community. We quickly got the best seat and enjoyed the castle and park sitting on a park bench. From there we could also watch quite well how slowly but surely all the ball guests arrived. I still find it quite good and chic when people dress up for a ball; unfortunately there is less and less opportunity to do so.

For my better half and I it was a feast for the eyes just to look at the many beautiful dresses and suits. Klaus Brenner came in befitting and very professional in a tuxedo, which showed me that I was completely out of practice and probably underdressed that evening — which my better half made up for with her dress.

Due to the castle garden, there were two dance floors, one of which required a little more skill from the dancing couples. You have probably only really danced the tango if you have danced it at least once uphill and then downhill again. Which in turn is not a challenge for the waltz dancers, since small bumps in the dance floor are simply part of a Viennese waltz, just as Viennese waltzes should continue to be an integral part of every good party.

The dance band of the evening was also very commendable Happyness Voice by and with Andrew Cranen, which showed everyone that you can dance to live music much better than to just canned music. The jubilee ball was also hosted by the ballerinas, who Kerstin Brenner to be educated and trained, rounded off. It always fascinates me how the young ladies stand on their tiptoes and dance.

All in all, it was another very successful evening at the Brenner Dance School. My better half and I liked it all round, even though we drove home a little early.

Both of us are now motivated again to try again in April 2024 to establish a Europe ball in the Heilbronner Harmonie. We both believe that harmony is the right environment, which also offers enough dance floor to get even the most dance-loving couples out of breath.
