Ten minutes in which especially the bigoted relatives the so-called peace movement — the eternal fifth column! — should think about what they should finally do about the murdering, looting and raping by Russian troops in Ukraine alone that has been going on for well over 660 days?

Probably no weekly protest rallies, parades in front of the Russian embassy, press conferences or at least corresponding actions at our universities. There is no good opportunity to throw Molotov cocktails at members of the Bundeswehr or the police. These thwarted criminals are now slowly but surely all going into their well-deserved retirement, are currently even being celebrated as political greats and, at best, describe the Russian murder as a necessity in order to finally wipe US imperialism off the face of the earth.

Before I completely lose my composure, now something about today's song. This comes from Deep Purple and can be found on their fourth album “Deep Purple in Rock” from 1970. The song is said to have been somewhat inspired by the Cold War and has been widely abused by the above protagonists over the years.

Deep Purple was founded in London in 1968, was once one of the loudest music groups in history and has sold well over 100 million records to date. The group broke up in 1976 but has been forming again and again since 1984.

My personal favorite song remains “Smoke on the Water” from 1972; This can be found on the LP “Machine Head”.
