Today I could together with the city councilors Herbert Burkhardt, Heiner Dorner and Eugene Gall as well as other candidates from the Free Voters for the Heilbronn municipal council will talk to interested citizens from Frankenbach about the redesign of the sports facilities and the intended merger of the sports clubs from Neckargartach and Frankenbach.
One citizen concluded: "If the sports facilities in Frankenbach take as long as it did with Saarlandstrasse, then we won't see it anymore anyway."
The city councilors informed that Saarlandstraße actually consists of three construction projects, of which only the roundabout has so far been applied for by the city and as a result has also been implemented.
Heiner Dorner made it clear that the next step should be the breakthrough to Leingarten, which was already an issue in the 1970s. He also believes that new minds on the local council would be a great opportunity for the further development of Heilbronn; A strengthened faction of Free Voters could then implement necessary things better.
A citizen countered: "Not a rejuvenation of the municipal council, but the rejuvenation of the department heads in two years will probably be the big step in Heilbronn."
Herbert Burkhardt nevertheless pointed out that the Free Voters "are close to the people" and therefore a strengthening in the upcoming municipal council is the optimal solution for all citizens.
Before the relaxed part of the evening, the club members present thanked the Free Voters for the fact that it was they who actually abolished the club fees through their initiative, even if others are now taking up the cause.
That evening I gained a good insight into the challenges facing Frankenbach, which also affect Heilbronn as a whole, and I am already looking forward to further discussions with my fellow citizens.
