Shopping
Since I've already spent the day doing all sorts of things, I was able to up the ante and go shopping with my better half. A few things had to be replaced urgently and a 60th birthday is just around the corner, more precisely, in front of a door in the southern Black Forest.
And if you then stroll through the city center and try to understand the relevant current government and administrative decisions, then you lose the last bit of joy when shopping.
At one store I can only get in with a vaccination or test, at the next one without anything. A few control access, but most do not. And if you're still trying to back these measures or non-compliance with valid government decisions, then slowly but surely you start to tremble. And even the more well-known relevant government or administrative decisions are neither transparent nor comprehensible for the citizen.
At best, one can assume that one lobby group does a better job than the other in the government — malicious gossip already claims: simply bribes those responsible better than the other.
But no matter how it may actually be, the whole thing is now perceived by the citizen as pure arbitrariness.
Please explain e.g. For example, why you can sit in the public saunas without any problems, but you are not allowed to attend a dance school for practice dance with your own wife?
Incompetence and arbitrariness usually go hand in hand, and both are much more contagious than any virus!

Since I was already on my way today for something else, namely to Ulm, I was able to make sure that two of my books found a buyer. In contrast to many a Deutsche Post employee, I found Kronprinzstraße in Stuttgart without any major difficulties and handed in the package there personally.
As an encore, there was a look at the Construction site of Stuttgart 21, and it looks like Heilbronner Straße is now back where it originally was. So it won't be long before the new tracks to Stuttgart and then on to Ulm can be used.
Completely in contrast to Frankenbahn, where those responsible no longer even know that this stretches from Stuttgart to Würzburg — is probably asking too much. Perhaps it wouldn't be bad at all if the old railway line Berlin - Milan was awarded to a Chinese consortium, because then it is at least ensured that there are enough decoy drivers. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if fast trains rushed through Heilbronn again, and they don't have to go all the way to Beijing either.

After all these years it became necessary that I needed a uniform again. Unfortunately, the last time I moved, I decided to keep exactly those uniforms that I don't need now.
And so it happened that today I dived back into the ecosystem of the Bundeswehr at short notice. After all these years, it was very gratifying to experience that - at least the normal things - everything still works the first time, completely uncomplicated and amazingly quickly, and you don't have to ask more often or even remind your contact person. The whole thing was combined with a friendliness that you can hardly experience anywhere else.
So my short trip was over surprisingly quickly and I am already looking forward to finding another opportunity to get a taste of the air in the Bundeswehr.
