Dogs hit

Today, in the Heilbronner voice, we can already make many comments on the statement discussed here in the blog from Josip Juratovic read. The public prosecutor's office is said to have even filed a criminal complaint against Juratovic for incitement to hatred. And the mainstream parties are also reacting, they are now rolling over themselves with populist demands, just to get as many of the anti-democrats as possible back into their respective camps. Let's just hope they'll be able to keep these really bad people in check. The very worst remainder, however, continues to drift towards the NPD, AfD and other “popular movements”; it is not of much use to the CSU that it wants to leave the AfD far behind until the 2024 state elections.

The only bad thing is that with such actions the other anti-democratic fringe will be further strengthened and thus all democratic parties will be damaged. It would be better if all of our democratic parties, instead of loudly courting even louder anti-democrats, including far too many Nazis, cared more and better about the hopefully still “silent majority” and finally took their growing concerns seriously.

There are indeed many challenges; you can tackle and solve them. And larger problems that cannot be dealt with in the short term could be explained to the citizens in an understandable way. Stupid politicians don't do that, they prefer to fish in the murkiest waters - we can see the consequences of this very well right now!

exam

Unfortunately, fewer students dared to write my final exam today than I had hoped, because after my lectures the chances of passing the exam were pretty good. Apparently some students had different opinions.

Now it is time to correct the exams in the coming days and to send the results to the university. When the students will be informed about this, I cannot say.

After the retreat, I immediately went into retreat with the members of the board of the Free Voters and we made a few important decisions for the upcoming election campaign. For example, we will only compete with one list because we don't want to go to the expense of creating several lists, despite the success of the Free Voters in Ulm.

We also set the date for the upcoming general meeting. This will take place on September 30, 2023. On the one hand, a new association statute will be decided and on the other hand, we will decide on our list of candidates for the municipal council election on June 9, 2024.

Swimming

Yesterday I rediscovered morning swimming for myself. A very comfortable thing thanks to the Neckarhalde around the corner. Unfortunately, the unsustainable state of our city can also be seen here, because you have to struggle through a sea of cigarette butts to get to the swimming pool. At the end of my short swim, I realized that I had injured myself on a sharp object while walking across the meadow.

At least we working, tax-paying citizens who pay attention to our city are slowly but surely fed up! Our city is becoming more and more of a dirty, lawless zone. Even city buses drive you onto the zebra crossing, e.g. B. at the district savings bank, almost over the heap. Celebrating people block the avenue under the eyes of the police, who are probably focusing more on a few demonstrating Ukrainians in front of Harmonie, in order to celebrate a wedding in a very typical way for the country. Our pedestrian zones have degenerated into an Eldorado for vehicles of all kinds and we also have to be bothered by beggars.

The consequences of missing public toilets in addition to the wild dumping grounds, ensure that walks or stays in the city become less and less attractive. And the city forest doesn't look much better either.

And so it is not surprising that other citizens are already taking initiatives to point out these abuses, as is currently the case with the Heilbronn speeding scene in the city center - unfortunately, however, some citizens are already linking all this to an allegedly non-functioning democracy and are openly promoting it other social and political models!

It's not because of our democracy, but we citizens have elected mayors and municipal councils who obviously don't give a damn about our city!

It can't be about the money, because for everything else our local councilors always don't give up - wine bars and party zones are their urban ideal. Nothing against a Trollinger-Lemberger or a decent party, but city society is a bit more complex.

That's why we shouldn't despair of our democracy, but instead elect citizens in the coming local council elections who are interested in our city itself and who are also competent enough to be able to look over the shoulders of mayors and a city administration. Unfortunately, too many of our local councilors let themselves be fobbed off with a bunny meal and a few free trips and otherwise simply accept the opinion of the respective mayors of their party. And they don't have much to show for themselves apart from a party book.

If this continues after 2024, then we will soon have conditions similar to those in Berlin or the French banlieues.

"It's time something was done now. However, anyone who dares to do something must be aware that he will probably go down in German history as a traitor. However, if he fails to do so, he would be a traitor to his own conscience.”

  • The country needs good education and bright minds. In a TV episode featuring "Beavis and Butthead," the school class takes a careers trip to the nearest Army base. When asked why the bus is only half full and the class is much larger, the teacher replies: "The smart kids are going on a tour of the Hewlett-Packard factory today."
    Darwin will fix it.

  • What was interesting these days was a survey in Thuringia, which revealed that one of Sarah Wagenknecht the proposed new AfD party would cost almost 1/3 of the votes and could be the strongest party in Thuringia.
