bowling night

At the end of the day, a few tireless people met for the EUROPA-UNION bowling evening. While bowling was completely relaxed, the upcoming club events were recapitulated again, and I was able to inform those present about the current registration status. The problem here is that there are so many events now and you always have to make a selection.

So every day you have to decide which event to give preference to this time. The principle still applies that it is not due to a lack of time, but simply due to other preferences. This can become a problem for the organizer at larger club events that require immense preparation. In any case, it is annoying for board members if participants fail to attend even the obligatory general meetings.

At the more sociable get-togethers, things are completely different, because you look forward to those who are present and simply spend a nice time with them - as was the case yesterday at the bowling evening.

After bowling, we were still musing over good food about these changing preferences of our fellow citizens when I came up with the idea of spontaneously asking our friends and acquaintances where they were currently - thanks to telecommunications, no longer a problem these days. I only had to walk a few meters in Böckingen to get a stable internet connection.

The range of feedback was quite good, including some who were “just” making themselves comfortable at home that evening - which reminded me that I still have a series to finish myself - or were still working, but also club members who enjoyed culture in the Literaturhaus that evening.

However, the winner of the evening was Constantine Kummerle, who sent pictures of the margaritas being served there from an authentic Mexican restaurant in Brussels.

Which immediately made me think of the first true female James Bond make you think: “Just call me Rita… Margarita!”

attempt to explain

Why do parts of our politics as well as our administrations as well as the police and judicial apparatus increasingly turn a blind eye when anti-democratic forces, regardless of their camp or even religious affiliation, question human rights in general and the existence of our state in particular?

There must be a unifying bond that inseparably binds these different people and groups together, a bond that dissolves all party ideologies and even the oath of service of a German civil servant.

This bond is probably anti-Semitism, which turns Islamic and Christian fundamentalists, leftists and Nazis into a sworn brotherhood.

Now I don't hope that you'll be able to do everything in Germany again soon, e.g. For example, the Taliban could declare a caliphate in a Ditib mosque, as long as this was only supported by an anti-Semitic attitude.

"man reads"

I was there again this year nationwide reading day worked as a reading mentor. Yesterday again at my old elementary school; where I for the first time in 2018 at the Wilhelm Hauff School and took part in this reading day at meseno.

At the end of the “Man Reads Aloud” campaign, all “reading men” will be given a cup of coffee in the Damm Elementary School office. I think this is a nice gesture from the school management. And there too Matthew Leers The Free Voters is involved in “Man reads aloud”, so we were able to have a cup of coffee together at the end. Admittedly, I have Detlef Stern missed.
