On the 16th nationwide reading day on Friday, November 15, 2019, I was allowed to read aloud to a class at the Wilhelm Hauff School for the second time.
Every year, as part of the nationwide day of reading aloud, the support association of the city library "Reading-Hearing-Wissen" invites men who read stories to children in Heilbronn daycare facilities, schools, the city library and its branches.
I was also happy that after I finished reading I opened Hans Hambucher met, who also read at the Wilhelm Hauff School.
With this nationwide day of reading aloud, the initiators DIE ZEIT, the Reading Foundation and the Deutsche Bahn Foundation want to set a public example for reading aloud and thus awaken the joy of reading in children in order to promote reading skills in the long term and open up educational opportunities.
And I'm already looking forward to next Friday, when I'll be able to read again as a reading mentor and this year in a first class. The corresponding book is already available.
