Since 1947 at the latest, we European federalists have known how we Europeans could work together to create not only a better Europe, but also a better world in the future. If we had followed us, there would not be such major challenges in climate protection today and certainly no Russian wars of aggression on Europe.
Unfortunately, our initiatives and democratically legitimized attempts to create a European federal state were not only torpedoed by key representatives of the people in 1945 and 1948, but even today very influential politicians are still trying to overturn the European Parliament's most recent majority decision to start a constitutional convention.
Therefore now this open letter from the UEF President Domenec Ruiz Devesa together with the chairman of the Spinelli Group in the European Parliament Sandro Gozi to the President of the European Council Charles Michelto advocate for a constitutional convention.
If we don't finally manage to establish a European federal state at five to twelve, after a good seven decades, then Europe will not only fall apart into its individual parts again, but will also become a very easy victim of Russian fantasies of omnipotence.
I am just amazed at how it is completely enough to buy just a few politicians in democracies who not only make democratic progress impossible for decades, but also serve as a stirrup for a re-emerging totalitarianism - the list of names past decades contains very well-known names from the who's who of professional politics.

While browsing on the Internet, I was actually looking for the CDU's new basic program, which is currently being debated publicly, even though the program doesn't actually exist yet and the draft is only available to a few people in the know, I came across it a blogger on the City Guide Foursquare and shortly afterwards discovered that I was still registered there. Until just now, my last entry was from 2011, which I have now refreshed a bit. The occasion was the dance evening at the Brenner dance school.
Let's see when I get access to the new CDU basic program, the last one, which impressed me a little because of its statements about Europe, came from the 1970s - the Berlin or Ludwigshafen program. After that they just became spongy. And so I'm really curious to see whether this time there will be fundamental, perhaps even Christian demands that can hopefully actually be implemented in a democracy.
Until then, I'll play around a bit with the new old website and the associated app and plan to actually delete my account there this time if I don't need it.

Today we can read in the Heilbronner Stimme (December 13.12.2023, 3: XNUMX) that the state government is returning to nine-year high schools across the board (G9) returns. Only recently, at least in political terms, was G 8 introduced across the board; My two sons benefited from this because they finished school more quickly.
Many children already learn nothing in four years of primary school and, because they are allowed to go to high school, will not learn anything in the following eight and now nine years. And for those who learn without any problems, the ninth year - for me at the time it was actually only half a year (13.1) - is a complete waste of time. Until recently, that was probably the reason for the G8.
So now G9 again and then G8 again etc. - into the potatoes and out of the potatoes! And that combined with constant restructuring and expansion of ministries and administrations and we have described German politics quite well, wait, there is also the incurring of debt.
