I have been used to working in and with international teams since the 1980s and I have come to appreciate this very much over the decades. I also came to the conclusion that there is a solution for everything, you just have to ask the relevant questions or problems in the appropriate language.

Since I've been on the Internet, I've also initiated one or the other project and quickly realized that the employees involved don't usually live around the next corner, but almost always in corners of the world that Heilbronn residents probably never go to would arrive quickly.

And so I've gained some experience in the meantime, for example that you always get good Indian employees with a whole lot of bureaucracy, and you have to work your way through from one "supervisor" to the next for the simplest program codes, which you have to do with more complex ones tasks can drive you crazy very quickly.

I was recently positively surprised by programmers from South America, who not only solved their tasks very quickly, but also very independently and in a practice-oriented manner.

However, I was negatively surprised by the offers and services from the Chinese area, which are appearing on the market more and more often. Some of these “freelancers” even pretend to be from the USA, and before you know it, you end up in central China. And then it is usually too late, because even the minimum standards of international cooperation are hardly observed.

Guest blogger

We've been writing here on Kümmerle's weblog since last year Guest blogger. I am particularly happy about each and every one of these “participators”! When selecting guest bloggers, it is important to me that they contribute to our society on a voluntary basis and that they can also contribute interesting contributions to this weblog through their continuous commitment and expertise.

Due to the weblog, these are mostly European or local — in this case Heilbronn — topics. But I would be happy to include other exciting topics. The guest bloggers are responsible for their own contributions without any ifs or buts.

I know that many of the blog readers really appreciate these posts and I hope that the opportunities for commenting will also be used a little more.

Weekend Trip

The time when you can do your voluntary work with even more energy than during the week. This weekend I'm sitting at the 64th Federal Congress of the EUROPA-UNION and I'm enjoying the fact that this time it's possible from my home.

Yesterday we were able to hammer in new pegs for the coming year in Heilbronn, and so I am pleased that I will soon be able to present our Aktion 68 at the 500th district assembly of the EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn. I am very confident that we will come out of the COVID-19 pandemic with new momentum and will be able to offer all our members and interested citizens interesting and informative events.
