Collaboration

To my great joy, that is now available Program of the 7th Hertenstein Talks. It has been shown once again that you are more successful when you work together instead of against each other. I was even happier that some of my fellow campaigners put their personal animosities aside in order to also contribute to the success.

The Hertenstein Talks website has been around for a long time right here on this blog, just because it's easier for me and I hadn't found anyone who would at least want to work with on such a website. Those of my readers who have become a bit curious can follow the relevant links here and find out more about these talks.

However, I am most pleased when as many of my readers as possible come to the 7th Hertenstein Talks in Heilbronn themselves. Even if you are not (yet) a convinced European or even a federalist, you can still get a good overview of the state of our current Europe during the talks.

community schools

The prestige project of all those who reject education is now finally going down the drain thanks to the reality that can no longer be denied. Neither parents nor teachers nor students want to have anything to do with it.

Only those who refuse to go to school in our parliaments will continue to do so, probably until they can no longer be associated with community schools. And that's exactly when they pull antiquated school plans out of the drawers and reclaim the "old" school system; I like to remember the circus with the G8 law. They all let themselves be celebrated again for this brilliant political achievement. Unfortunately, that doesn't help our children, our education system, let alone our society.

In the meantime, age-old necessities for a good education such as intelligence, diligence and perseverance can no longer be sued for in our society - once it's gone, it stays gone!

And so comes what must come: soon over 80% of our population will be successful university graduates, but hardly any of them are still able to read, write or even do arithmetic at this level of education.

Democracies live from a mature citizenry. That's exactly why our education system was slowly but surely dismantled, because with de Domme three bd mr d' world om.

warmth

Because of my age, I probably don't use the somewhat better weather, which is not so common for Heilbronn, for an extended stay at the outdoor pool or relaxing runs in the city forest, but simply to do a few overdue activities in peace and quiet.

There are now a good 200 fewer files, because data also have a right to be forgotten; Unfortunately, the affected server didn't get much faster. My first attempts to modernize databases have so far failed. For this I was able to complete a first draft for a necessary change in the statutes for the free voters. And the contract with the city archive is also making further progress.

I was also able to close other groups in the social media, although I have not received any corresponding comments to date. The current inquiries from a few students who obviously didn't need to come to my lectures but would now like to have "private lessons" are funny. I can only recommend these young people to continue to take it very sporty and just see what life or in this case the exam has to offer; “Management by surprise” so to speak — some might call this 101% agile.

Of course there was the usual meseno ride yesterday, because people continue to eat and drink. And at least for me surprisingly, the day before another trip via Stuttgart to Ulm and back again.

reading recommendation

Barak Obama talks to Daniel Roth on the subject "Worry more about what you want to do rather than what you want to be."

"Learn how to get stuff done... What I'm always looking for is, no matter how small the problem or how big it is, somebody who says, 'let me take care of that'... the best way to get attention is whatever is assigned to you, you are just nailing — you're killing it because people will notice, 'oh, that's somebody who can get something done.'”
