It's getting harder and harder to see how responsible politicians keep driving the country and the people into the wall with their eyes wide open.

Many influential politicians are also proud of the fact that they "only tackle problems when they have finally been recognized as such by ordinary fellow citizens, and only then are they generally and publicly perceived by politicians".

The bulk of our current problems are decades old. As examples, environment, Migration, Infrastructure and pensions serve. Even the recently emerging renewed ones refugee movements are homemade.

Yes, sitting it out has even become a political credo, at least that of the two people's parties, namely to wait until the child has not only fallen into the well but also drowned long ago, in order to then "act" as tragically as possible, i.e Taking huge sums of taxpayers’ money in hand and throwing it out the window as pointlessly as possible with the claim that there is “no alternative” only to be able to claim afterwards, no matter how - and this is also purely coincidental - that there are no costs spared to save our country.

The benefit for them professional policy it is obvious that you can work on and for yourself for as long as possible and then only have to do something halfway if you cannot blame any other politician or the citizens in general for the recognizable consequences; this involves shifting responsibilities back and forth for years already symptomatic.

As already mentioned, in the end the only trick is to continue to delay the existing problem until any action, no matter what kind, is still better than doing nothing at all.

Therefore, one has to draw the conclusion that political irresponsibility has long since become the new reason of state, and one can therefore understand more and more why the citizens are not only turning away from current day-to-day politics, but also from democracy itself.

That's why we have to recognize that our democracy is not based on the Bernd Höckes or Bodo Ramelows fails, but hollows out and disintegrates all by itself from the inside out, and these two gentlemen are not the cause of all evil, but are already the first effects of the evil described above.

Our current problems and future challenges as well as possible solutions have been around for decades. It really is high time that at least our people's representatives began to seriously deal with these problems and then present their voters with plausible, albeit far-reaching solutions, which can then be decided in elections and votes.

After that, other politicians can use simpler slogans like "Foreigners out!", "Private property is a crime." or "The Chinese are to blame." no longer score with most voters.

"And maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be."

Peter O'Toole as Don Quixote de la Mancha in Man of La Mancha (1972)
