Hopefully in time for the weekend I would like to invite you to an album by Peter Gabriel draw your attention, which has been on the market since December 1, 2023.
To arouse your curiosity, you can find the song “Panopticom” as a music video right here. This is the first song on the new album “i/o”. Eleven more songs follow, all of which deal with life and our universe.
“i/o” is now his twenty-fourth album and the first album with completely new music in over 21 years. Some may still remember his last album “Up” from 2002, which is about birth and death.
Got known Peter Gabriel as a founding member of Genesis in the 1970s. He left the band in 1975 and became even more successful as a solo artist. Everyone probably knows his songs “Solsbury Hill” (1977) and “Games Without Frontiers” (1980) and “Sledgehammer” (1986) is still ringing in my ears thanks to Siegfried K. (!).
In the meantime, he's taking things a little easier with his latest album. “The Court” should serve as a good example.
