When the movie Blade Runner came out in our theaters in 1982, I was more through Vangelis lured into the cinema, who contributed the film music. A school friend who was interested in science fiction also mentioned Philip K. Dick as the authors of the novel, which I had never heard of before. From the actors I was only Harrison Ford known from the movie Star Wars, but I didn't like it that much there.

After the film I was gone Rutger Hauer enthusiastic and tried to watch more films, such as B. The Hitcher or Hostile Waters, in which he played a leading role.

The following quote from the film is still one of my favorites today and consists of the last words of Roy Batty.

“I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time … like tears in rain. Time...to die."

To make the whole thing work better, especially for those who don't know the film, I've attached the corresponding YouTube video. And those who have already seen the film will surely appreciate it.

"C'est le temps que tu as perdu pour ta rose qui fait ta rose si importante."

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince (1943)
