Vienna

This morning I just couldn't help myself and had to add this song to my post. A few comrades from my time in Munich will probably still understand it.

I had already added the Ultravox album (1980) of the same name to my record collection in 1981 and used it to provide sound for my later student apartment and spiced up one or two training sessions.

Ultravox was founded in London in 1974 and disbanded in 1988. The song “Dancing with Tears in My Eyes” from 1984 or the song “Hymn” from 1982 might have been a little better known.

Opera Ball

The 66th Vienna Opera Ball took place yesterday. And once again the whole of Austria was on its feet to make this ball an event for more than just its guests. I liked the European reference, that of the patron Alexander van der Bellen was clearly noted, even if this was not well received by some of the lodge guests.

I watched the ball on TV once because you might get some inspiration for the European ball and it's generally a good idea to follow the best. And so I could immediately see that we had chosen our own ball opening quite well. I reminisced for the rest of the evening and even briefly considered whether I should wear a few medals for the European Ball. But then I was more fascinated by the many beautiful dresses and now hope that one or two dancers will dress up at the European Ball, because no matter what you think about balls, it's the wardrobes that matter is what really turns a ball into a social event - not the medals, which is probably more Austrian. And the Viennese are very inventive here too, because a medal on my hip was new to me; And so next year the first Austrians are likely to come up with orders for their buttocks, which is not an obstacle given the limited seating options in Vienna.

But in any case, I am now highly motivated and hope that the European ball will also be a success. Without a doubt, you will be able to dance better at the Europa Ball.

city council

Praise today, because yesterday's stay in the town hall was not only successful, but also enjoyable. Thanks to the help of Herbert Burkhardt Access was not difficult. You still have to ask yourself why our mayors and their inner circle are barricading themselves in the town hall: simply a guilty conscience or just the certainty that they no longer have the city under control? But as long as the Bundeswehr doesn't receive an order to dig trenches in front of the town hall, the world should still be somewhat in order in Heilbronn - and a few security service entrepreneurs are making money stupidly and stupidly in the meantime.

The stay was pleasantly short, because the clerk responsible for us not only received us ahead of time, but was also very well prepared. In conversation, her professionalism was even more pleasing. And so our matter should not only be in good hands, but more importantly, also be completed successfully.

  • Medals and decorations would certainly look good in future featured photos and a matching Franz Josef beard could even sprout by the time of the European Ball. In the meantime, the civilians can make do with pretty Europa Union pins.
