If either

It's a bit strange when an incumbent mayor, after almost eight years in office, isn't sure whether he wants to run for another eight years. Apparently he is now making this dependent on the outcome of the federal elections, which in turn could give the impression that top positions are being negotiated among professional politicians.

In any case, the municipal council will soon set the date for the election, with the election likely to take place on Sunday, February 6, 2022. A runoff election would then be scheduled for February 20, 2022 and would be more likely if good candidates had already been queried by the municipal council groups.

So the whole thing will probably go like last time, you wait until the last second, take the preferred candidate of a Heilbronner, who admittedly has done more than good service to our city, send as the largest faction only one alibi candidate and this into the race at very short notice and thus ensures that after Helmut Himmelbach as soon as no other expert from outside Heilbronn comes into play. It is the already well-proven experts who could bring a big city further forward, like Himmelsbach, for example. B. managed with the Neckarbogen and the BUGA.

Heilbronn should be so important to our municipal council that its members no longer see administrative positions as basic supply posts for proven party soldiers or even their acquaintances, but rather as key functions to make Heilbronn even better and more attractive.

Heilbronn cannot afford that professionals like Helmut Himmelbach only happen by chance and once every decade.

top spot

Heilbronn is great! At least with that incidence in Germany. I have already written several times who I hold responsible for this. A big city simply needs top management who can manage an administration and also provide their own positive impetus, look to the future and quickly regain the initiative in crises. This is always and everywhere a challenging task - but in Heilbronn it is also a very well paid one!

Balls

Yesterday I again Herbert Burkhardt, but this time with his wife, met downtown. He was able to inform me that councilman Malte Hoch took the initiative at the last public meeting of the municipal council and condemned the completely unacceptable statements and defamation of a Heilbronn city councilor and member of parliament against our chancellor.

This initiative was overwhelmingly Malte Hochs welcomed by the local council, and since also a representative of Heilbronn voice was present, it was assumed that this newspaper reported on it and informed the people of Heilbronn that the worship of Nazi heroes, slander, calls for murder or manslaughter were not part of the repertoire in the Heilbronn municipal council.

It's just a shame that a newspaper that describes itself as non-partisan and, as a monopolist, also bears a certain responsibility, hasn't reported on it to this day and continues to let Heilbronn residents believe that as a city councilor you can agitate against our democracy and its representatives without objection.

Collecting society word

Anyone who writes more than just occasionally should know this association, founded in 1958, which, among other things, protects the intellectual property of its members.

Unfortunately, nowadays most authors write for newspapers and other media completely free of charge and do not even receive a line fee. It is therefore all the more important that there is an association that represents the interests of authors.

Franz Kafka

At least everyone who has a qualified school certificate was allowed to read something by Kafka at least once. I still like his stories today, which is why he is mentioned again and again on the weblog.
