Artificial intelligence

Here in Baden-Württemberg, too, everyone is talking about artificial intelligence, but for a long time now we have no longer been talking about machines or computers that develop their own consciousness, but only about the advantage that machines are basically good at calculations simply because of their physical structure 1 times faster than any neural structure. And if it is now even possible for these machines to be able to reproduce themselves, then there are hardly any limits to the computing capacities.

And who knows, maybe these machines will then develop their own consciousness all by themselves.

Irrespective of this, one would now like to turn Baden-Württemberg into a kind of Silicon Valley, as almost all other regions of Europe are planning to do, and the rest of the world is also striving for it.

So it might be a good idea to join forces, at least in Baden-Württemberg. Maybe it would be even better if you did this nationwide? — In any case, the chances would then be much better to be able to influence future development with and through taxpayers' money. You don't build a CERN or an ITER in every village.

Since artificial intelligence can hardly be created without natural intelligence for the time being, this competition for the coming Silicon Valley stands and falls with the acquisition of sufficient human resources. University towns with already existing and well-known faculties in physics and mathematics as well as computer science are particularly suitable; and things are likely to get tight in Baden-Württemberg.

In order to be able to recruit the best possible teachers and already trained specialist staff, a good infrastructural connection — intelligence is very mobile (international airport) — and a living environment that is as attractive as possible would be further location advantages.

So it is certainly a good thing if, to the advantage of Baden-Württemberg, at least the state-organized forces and resources are bundled in order to create an "intelligence cluster" in the state. This bundling can also be achieved by connecting different locations with each other through infrastructure within a maximum of 30 minutes; the internet doesn't count in this case.

Taking all this into account, one has to ask oneself why we are now undertaking so many experiments supported by the state government, not a single one of which will remain under the much-described 100 million euros start-up costs.

Heilbronn will receive an "Innovation Park KI", Heidelberg, which has already achieved initial successes in the field of AI, was given an "AI garage" in advance, and a new Ellis Institute is now to be founded in Tübingen, in which scientists from all over the world will research AI .

Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Ulm and probably also Mannheim already have their own AI centers. And I am firmly convinced that Künzelsau will soon become the world market leader in AI.

If I have forgotten a Baden-Württemberg AI cluster in my list, then I apologize. You are welcome to “fax” me the corresponding information, because I am always up to date when it comes to AI.

Rich

I don't want to talk about experience, luck, intelligence or other beautiful things like friendship and kindness, but rather rudely about Mammon, the money that determines us all. Wealth is measured in terms of monetary assets, and we all like to wait for the next best or winner lists to be published in the relevant magazines or newspapers.

The local estimates of the respective private assets let even the poorest dream for a few moments and therefore created a whole new section that lives only from reporting on the rich or even super-rich.

What is really interesting is how the respective authors determine who is the richest this year and on which bases they are referring - nobody named there will probably make their tax returns available to the reporters.

But what is even more interesting is that we have definitely and unequivocally established who is poor and who is rich - without having to count any money. With us, everyone who pays their taxes is “poor”. "Less poor" are those who can avoid paying taxes without consequences.

In Germany, however, one is only "rich" once one can decide for oneself what to do with one's own tax money! — If you can't do that, you're not really rich either, at most maybe a little bit, but that doesn't count in the eyes of the really rich, nor in the eyes of our bureaucrats.

And "super rich" are only those who not only determine what happens with their own taxes, but who also have tax money from other fellow citizens flowing into their own pockets.

And if you are now really sad that you are not among the really rich here in Germany, then you can still emigrate to countries where you are properly (assessed) and your wealth is therefore fully recognized — the relevant rapporteurs will certainly follow you.

Everyone else can console themselves with the fact that the last shirt has no pockets and that the opportunity to create at least one's own money dynasty hardly exists today - or works - and will disappear completely in the future further development of our societies.

In the end, all the rich have only one choice, they have to get involved in a modern sale of indulgences with state and church, and if we organize this properly as a society, we will all benefit from it in the end and can feel a little richer ourselves.

light & shadow

Today I was allowed to read a very enjoyable article from Thomas Zimmerman read in the voice of Heilbronn. On the one hand he confronts the reader with facts and on the other hand he actually names some problems by name. Because a pure court reporting, as it is very often found in local newspapers, neither brings the readership any further, nor does it contribute in any way to the solution of existing or future problems.

Therefore, I recommend reading his article "Licht und Schatten in der Käthchenstadt" to everyone who ends up realizing that “Concerns about the city center and shopping area remain. Dressing it up doesn't help. A ruthless analysis and a concept from a single source are required. Instead of many business promoters in numerous offices, who tell like a prayer wheel how great everything is.” (Voice from Heilbronn, January 29.1.2022, 29: XNUMX)

All that remains for me today is to remind you of the old adage: "Danger recognized, danger averted."
