Election call

I've never had a choice as difficult as this time. Especially since many parties and members of parliament have completely lost their credibility - if they ever had any at all.

But it is still necessary and very important that we all vote and make up our minds — nobody ever promised us that this would be easy!

So I have tortured myself a lot in the last few weeks and made my decision for myself. I give the first vote to the candidate who I think is the most authentic and also the most credible, namely Michael George Link.

It was more difficult with the second vote, because here you also have to take coalitions into account and you can no longer trust the coalition statements of the parties.

And so I made my decision yesterday and will also cast my second vote. I advise all those who can no longer reconcile this with their conscience to at least forgive their first votes.

And even if you can no longer reconcile this with your good conscience, I ask you to vote anyway and invalidate your votes.

Please remember: Voting is not only a human right, but also a civic duty!

problem area

Ever since I was able to read, I've been used to the fact that the voices of Heilbronn like to write badly about the northern part of the city, but to describe this as a problem area surpasses everything that has happened before.

Because the northern city center is one of the most attractive districts in Heilbronn and could definitely become even more attractive. All you have to do is convert Lothorstrasse and Turmstrasse entirely into pedestrian zones — something that has been required since the time of the first pedestrian zone in Heilbronn. Unfortunately, the individual interests of some city councils have so far stood in the way of this demand. And even today, contrary to all experience, one has to hear that pedestrian zones are bad for retail; these are only bad for trade if, as in Heilbronn, they run wild.

The demand for parking permits is also a bit older and definitely to be supported. However, the demand for neighborhood garages is hypocritical, especially from those who are constantly complaining about a traffic turnaround.

Especially the few available parking spaces — if you disregard all the high and underground parking spaces — offer a great opportunity for the northern inner city to reinvent itself by offering residents an attractive living space who don’t necessarily have to go shopping in an SUV.

However, I am a bit confused when the residents demand more greenery, because when I lived there myself it was common practice for all residents to compete with each other with flower pots, flower troughs, flower boxes and climbing plants.

My own current attempts to keep two plant troughs alive in northern downtown are constantly hampered by the current residents who insist on using the troughs as rubbish bins.

The residents could use a little initiative to make the northern inner city bloom again - unfortunately, they only take the initiative to demand things from others instead of contributing to change themselves.

Without consequences

I still remember exactly how, at a New Year's reception in Heilbronn, a former federal minister boasted that he had managed his wife's company in addition to his ministerial work, because "she would not have been quite able to do it."

Because of all the "joking" he has probably forgotten that he had sworn several oaths when he was a minister, namely that he did not know that his wife even had such a company.

And with this ministerial oath, it was also completely correct that this company was allowed to earn stupid and stupid from our tax money.

By the way, this former minister received thunderous applause for “his achievements” and full recognition from most of the audience. The much-vaunted "spiritual and moral turn" has probably robbed many of us of the last brain cells.

And in the event that yesterday's findings and statements from Jan Böhmermann [Video available until December 23.12.2021, XNUMX] prove to be correct, ministers will probably not be prosecuted again for their criminal activities or those of their employees - there is now a system for that.
