bustle

It's amazing how much hectic our government is still capable of after 16 years of laziness in the last few weeks of this legislature. One minister after the other announces things for which he himself is no longer responsible. And most parties have finally managed to issue their own election manifesto — even though most voters know that these days those promises aren't worth the paper they're printed on. But it is good that some candidates and their parties at least give the impression that they are at all interested in the voters' opinions, their wishes and needs.

Football

If the German football team still enchants us tonight and even wins against the Hungarian team, then I think we can certainly get over the fact that our own feet aren't dangling in Lake Lucerne. But there will be the 2021th Hertenstein Talks in September 5, and if everything goes well, the corresponding e-book by the end of the year.

Read out

Motivated by reading aloud at primary school, I am already looking forward to the Reading at Europaplatz, which is organized by the EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn, to start in July. I will, appropriate to the place of reading, from my book "Europe is for everyone!’ and I’m already looking forward to the resulting questions and discussions.

Yesterday's reading in a 2nd class at the Dam Elementary School It was really fun, but even more so that after the reading break caused by COVID-19, I was able to see such good reading progress among the students. Despite the known difficulties, the class teacher did a very good job. And the school now has digital boards too; to my regret I haven't gotten around to examining them more closely.

But you could also see quite well how the students — I remembered them from their container days — change when they are offered a learning environment that is appropriate to their education and upbringing. It's just a shame that those responsible in the city simply still don't recognize this.

E-Book

I would love to be able to sit by Lake Lucerne right now and dangle my feet in the water. Since this is hardly feasible at the moment, I used the time available to me and published the third volume of the Hertenstein Talks as a E-Book issued. My thanks go to Detlef Sternwho made this possible.

I checked very carefully, my weblog isn't there yet. But if you consider that there are now countless websites, I am happy every day that my weblog always has a few readers.
