meeting

I was able to spend this morning together Herbert Burkhardt at a free voter meeting in the major cities of Baden-Württemberg. It's always exciting to see how similar the problems and challenges of these cities actually are. And the local Free Voters are also confronted with almost the same challenges. One thing that all city associations have in common is that they have difficulties motivating their own members for the election campaign or getting other interested citizens to the events - one reason for this absence could be the sheer number of activities and events that are now taking place all citizens are literally buried. And the reason for this is probably that more and more people are spending less and less time at work or in their profession and are therefore coming up with a wide variety of ideas to kill their own time and ideally that of other people too.

In any case, we were able to see that we in Heilbronn are already a lot further ahead than our neighboring associations in this election campaign. We will be able to see on June 9, 2024 how all of our commitment will pay off for us.

miscellany

The weekend started with a cup of coffee Detlef Stern and I'll clarify a few details about the current summer semester, including a virtual short trip to Bali or something like that. Afterwards there was the robber Hotzenplotz at the Damm primary school and in the afternoon the tutoring at meseno turned into a small improvised sports test with the boys. It was completely sobering that the young men could hardly keep up. The blame for this clearly lies with their parents, who should never have been parents!

Yesterday there was a spontaneous round of Settlers of Catan, unfortunately only one as I was allowed to dance straight afterwards. And because yesterday evening was so beautiful, he came with me James Bond extended into the morning - they are currently apparently looking for a new 007, the thing with the lady was probably nothing, and so we can all be excited to see how they manage to do it with the Resurrection; Back then at Dallas (1978 – 1991) it didn’t really work out.

correction

Even though I very much welcome the fact that the Heilbronn municipal council has now been able to bring itself to do so Alliance for Democracy and Human Rights I must nevertheless mention that the very local councilors who are now claiming this as a success have not only torpedoed the EUROPA-UNION Heilbronn initiative for such an alliance for years, but also, contrary to all common sense, an alliance “Heilbronn against the right “, which also promotes the idiocy that there are also good anti-democrats because they are left-wing.

And so it is contrary to the current Heilbronn reporting It is true that after much back and forth, the parties, groups and other organizations came together to form the above alliance in January of this year. The European Movement, the EUROPEAN UNION and the Free Voters were also involved from the start.

And as has been demanded by the EUROPEAN UNION for years and partly realized in the Heilbronn Call of 2017, this alliance is for something, namely democracy and human rights - Europe has fallen behind, probably as a concession to those groups and parties, who had previously refused - and as a consequence against all anti-democrats, regardless of their stripe.

Unfortunately, this alliance in Heilbronn will also have no impact whatsoever and the same parties that have so far refused to form a democratic alliance for everyone will continue to primarily follow their ideology that there are also good anti-democrats and an ideologically completely stubborn alliance promote, which is probably already being observed in parts by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution - just like the anti-democrats that these local councilors are speaking out against today, at least as long as they don't sit with them at the rabbit's meal or go on "holiday trips" together.

And if you now think that these local councilors are actually serious about their anti-AfD campaign, you only have to look at the town hall, where an old Nazi and SS criminal is still very prominently honored, even contrary to the mayor's promises - not The promised hint that this old mayor was a really bad character is there.

Some local councilors probably don't want to spoil things with anyone, as the next elections are coming up in a few days. Nowadays it is more important than ever to choose a side. I would be very happy if the majority of local councilors decided in favor of our democracy - even if that means stepping on the toes of one or two of our fellow citizens.
