In the last few days, in my role as chairman of the Free Voters association, I was able to take part in one or two guided tours of Heilbronn, including the Neckarbogen and the Hochgelegen, but also the Lerchenberg tunnel, a rescue station and possible new school locations were on the program.

That's how much I like it myself Lerchenberg tunnel as a pedestrian and cycle path, as a responsible citizen you have to set priorities. And as long as our public schools are in a sorry state and other more urgent infrastructure projects need to be addressed, there is simply no money for this measure. Just a quick calculation: despite an alleged 90% subsidy, the city administration has 1,5 million euros of its own costs - which will certainly become more expensive given the well-known quality of our administration (wheel house and lightning bridge); We're also not talking about the maintenance and other additional costs that are added every year.

The highlight, however, was the visit to the Hochgelegen. Here I have to give a big shout out to them urban settlement and their directors Dominik Buchta get rid of it: you could hardly do it better.

The only point of criticism is the infrastructural connection to the Hochgelegen, but that is again the responsibility of the local council and city administration and they are both involved in the necessary metropolitan development - which is still being carried out Dieter schwarz is accelerated - completely overwhelmed. First you ensure the infrastructural connection and then you develop a new district or densify existing ones - then you wouldn't have to frantically search for a school location and destroy the last green or sports facilities in the process.

And the further development of the Neckarbogen will also become a real drama, even if we end up in an eternal phase of negative interest rates! Neither the city administration nor the local council are up to such a project - the dispute over Paula-Fuchs-Allee is just a sign that those responsible have still not recognized what it is actually about.

Committee information system

Today I would like to praise the city administration, the “Committee information system for citizens“ is a cumbersome term, “citizen information” would have sufficed, but this website has now turned out really well.

Unfortunately, further inquiries are still not answered by the responsible administrative staff as would normally be the case, but as a citizen you have to contact a parliamentary group leader of the local council if possible and then ideally one from Alliance90/The Greens, CDU or SPD. But even then it is not guaranteed that you will receive an answer - in my role as club chairman, I have been waiting for an answer to one or two inquiries for a few years, which does not exactly speak for the professionalism of the Heilbronn city administration.
