meeting
Inspired by a somewhat more open email, there was a somewhat longer meeting today, which I was finally able to end after three hours. We not only managed to eliminate one or two open points, but also implemented further plans.
As it is today, after a meeting is also before a meeting. And here too, a meeting must be prepared and followed up on. Which now means that this evening will last a little longer again.
Landscape plan
I was very astonished to read today in the Heilbronner Stimme (April 2.4.2024, 30: 30) that the city recently published an image brochure for 000 euros that was printed especially for the flawed 2030 landscape plan, which, if it was already in the 135th -page short version for the local council is read, is full of errors.
In total, this plan has 600 pages and council Susanne Schnepf noted that, among other things, tobacco cultivation in Horkheim is listed, which by the way no longer exists, but the Nagelfluh rocks in Klingenberg, which regularly cause trouble, are not even mentioned. You shouldn't expect our city administration to get to the point in 600 pages; it is completely sufficient if you speak loudly Susanne Schnepf gives free rein to one's own ideology. And since the plan is probably lacking in facts but is ideologically stubborn, according to the city administration, it is ideally suited to further harassing our students, who are usually already completely overwhelmed, with nonsense.
If you are interested in this plan, you can download it in a total of ten individual PDFs the city website download; I hope that the authors have at least disabled the print function. And anyone who actually takes a look now will be surprised to find that this plan is based on the green model from 1992; the authors probably couldn't find an older one in the city archives. But it has one advantage, because the Friedrich-Ebert route is now likely to come back into discussion. In any case, this plan once again shows how many decades later our administration is on the move. After I briefly looked at the plan myself, I realized that it was at least partially based on information that was years, if not decades, old and therefore outdated. Anyone who wastes 30 euros on this would at least have to be reprimanded by the local council, but the majority of them welcome the plan and the masterpiece of urban administration behind it.
Based on Otto von Bismarck But this has a huge advantage for us, because if the world is about to end, it won't be until 50 years later in Heilbronn. And if you follow the actual author of this quote, the Social Democrat Franz Starosson, then we still have 500 years left! Now someone say something again against the SPD.

It remains to be seen whether this can be seen as a bad omen if the coffee machine does not work. In any case, the conversation was with Detlef Stern interesting even without coffee.
Not 50 students took part in the lecture, which makes me think a bit not as a lecturer, but as a “project manager”, because it is precisely those students who do not take part in the lectures who take up the most time when correcting. This may not be the case with other lecturers, but for me it is significant, namely that those who don't listen simply continue to beat around the bush in the exam and very rarely get to the point - and you should get to the point if you want points.
There were one or two interesting questions today that I would be happy to answer when the corresponding lecture comes around; the students will probably be able to answer the question themselves. At least one student used the slides I offered in advance and even noticed that I present my slides on a daily basis and change them accordingly.
At the end there was a two-part task to be solved, the solutions offered could give me a good overview of how far the students present had already progressed in their studies. Time is running and very soon it will be half time...
