Malo

It's always been better to be able to choose not only the time but also the location of meetings. And so my better half decided on a promising restaurant and that too in one of my favorite corners of Stuttgart.

Not only has the area been spruced up really nicely in the meantime, but the restaurant described there already makes a very good impression from the outside and therefore fits in very well with the ensemble. We received a very friendly welcome, and we were also given a nice seat with a view of both the restaurant and the restaurant; well located and also ideal for a meeting.

Personally, I really liked that the day shift supervisor Elvin from the beginning very kind and very professional took care of us. I liked it even better that he knew exactly when his presence at the table is necessary and desirable, because that is one of the great challenges and sometimes also a risk when hosting a meeting dinner.

I would also like to mention that the ambience of the restaurant is tidy and refreshing at the same time, a place where you can meet up quite well.

"MALO - the new Urban City Retreat in the heart of Stuttgart. In the midst of the chaos of the big city, we offer our guests an oasis to relax, feel good and switch off. Surrounded by a sea of real plants, you can escape from everyday life here and let yourself be pampered by regional dishes, unique wines and a breathtaking ambience.”

I would have that Restaurant Malo but probably not mentioned in my weblog, if I hadn't immediately noticed an onion roast on the menu, which was also fully worthy of an onion roast. The chef could easily afford to actually offer me an "English" and even the "medium-rare" version looked quite tasty. I particularly liked the fact that no roasted onions were used, as I unfortunately had to endure the last few times in other places.

Without a doubt, the other meals also looked very tasty and the other participants in the meeting also liked them. Because the meeting went so well for everyone involved, and perhaps also because of the good food, we treated ourselves to a dessert. The tiramisu that was offered was also flawless and therefore ended the discussion excellently.

We would all have liked to have stayed a little longer, but unfortunately we weren't there just for fun. That's why I'm already looking forward to the next time and I've made it my goal to just stop by the Malo "just for fun". By the way, the name Malo derives from the two owners (father and son) of the restaurant: Matthias and Lorenz Grohe.

But the thanks of the day undoubtedly go to Elvin.

meeting

Today started with a very pleasant meeting at City Hall, because that's where I met Heiner Dorner. He has been on the road not only in matters of free voters, but also as a European federalist for decades. So our circles had touched and overlapped again and again over the years.

And so it's a good thing when you can get a few tips and advice from an "old hand".

Dancing

Last night I was really sweating because it was time for a dance class. I was very enthusiastic about the new dance figures of the two dances, but I have to admit that I would not be able to do them myself today.

And so it's quite good that the Brenner dance school is right in the neighborhood and that my better half will certainly move me there again shortly. Also, I don't have any plans to take an exam or win a trophy anytime soon — so I'm happy to learn these new dance moves again...and again...until my feet can do it without the rest.
