ideas

As I was able to read today in the Heilbronnerstimme (May 16.5.2023, 25: XNUMX), there are actually still corners here that do not have any pubs or even wine bars. And the ideas for making even such desolate corners even more attractive are very diverse.

Some Heilbronn decision-makers from the CDU can imagine that the last Allee underpass could be equipped with a “wine vault, a student pub, a club, a gallery, a small museum in which salt mining could be experienced or even as a Heimat could use for the Kleist archive right next to the theater.”

Although I have to admit that this subterranean idea for the Kleist Sempdner Archive has a certain charm, because we Heilbronner know very well how our tax money can be wasted and never seen again.

districts

It's amazing when you keep reading about how the residents in our districts are fighting back when it comes to developing Heilbronn into a big city outside of the core city.

For a long time now, buildings should no longer be permitted there that do not have at least five floors, just as ten floors should have been considered normal in the city center for a long time - that alone has something to do with sustainability, profitability and land use.

Social housing

Actually a very good thing, up to 30% of the apartments in the Neckar bend and even up to 50% in the new high area, the former Nonnenbuckel, are to be socially funded. In principle, the municipal council has even decided to aim for a social quota of no less than 20% for future new buildings.

But then you find out, quite incidentally, that you can get a housing entitlement certificate for singles with an income of up to 52 euros (!) and that the “socially” subsidized housing mentioned above will very quickly disappear from the market; if they have not already found a tenant with good connections to the city administration.

And then you could ask yourself whether we also have social housing for people who have always been unable to afford an apartment and who, even in their wildest dreams, will never achieve an income of up to 50 euros — at least not in an honest way?
