tragedy

Today we can once again read something about Turmstrasse and Zehntgasse both in the Heilbronner Voice (July 12.7.2023, 24: 12.7.2023) and in the city newspaper (July 2, XNUMX: XNUMX). Once again empty promises are being made to us citizens and again nothing is going to happen!

This time, the city administration has pulled 2029 million euros in funding from the state alone for the expansion up to 4,3. And at least these 4,3 million euros will be "certainly 2029% squandered on planning and staging" by 100, unfortunately Turmstraße will continue to look the same as it has in recent decades.

Since the last millennium, the Pfühlbach should have flowed through Turmstraße again, at least according to a municipal council decision at the time. And the Turmstrasse will look just as desolate in the 2030s as it does today — the currently promised green spaces remain a pipe dream.

Until then, the city administration will be able to keep itself healthy with the appropriate funding, a few companies and consultants are earning a living, and every municipal council also has the chance to put themselves in the limelight at least once without ever having been to Turmstraße themselves.

For the current staging of this madness, the responsible mayor Andreas Ringle rented the wool house. So we can be glad that the country didn't donate even more of our tax money, otherwise this production would probably have taken place in Hollywood.

And I, the clueless, recently wondered why in Widdern you can't get a website up and running for well over 200 euros (tax money!).

If the well-paid mayors and our well-funded municipal council were actually interested in us citizens and the city, then in 2025 the Electro Krauss had a beautiful Turmstrasse on its doorstep for its 100th anniversary. But this is also "only" one of the few traditional owner-managed companies in our city.

work clean

While I'm cleaning up my servers, the city administration takes the initiative and tries to get the increasing amount of garbage in Heilbronn under control. This experiment at least shows that if those responsible for it no longer recognize their actual tasks, let alone understand them, they at least react to the increasing complaints from the population.

“Municipal security service intensifies surveillance

The municipal security service (KOD) is currently taking even more intensive and targeted action against illegal dumping of waste in the city area and is monitoring numerous container locations from time to time. Public squares and parks are also checked with regard to the careless throwing away of small waste. In order to be as successful as possible, the controls are carried out in civilian clothes, not in uniform.

The extended controls have been running for two weeks. During this time, 43 violations have already been reported. Throwing away small items such as cigarette butts usually costs a fine of 70 euros. For other types of illegal dumping, the fine may vary depending on the type and size of the dumping. In one case, the police were called in because there was a suspicion of an environmental crime.

The increased cleanliness checks will continue in the coming weeks.”

Databases

It's done, my databases on my server are updated. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank a very friendly and competent IONOS employee. As already written, my database knowledge was a bit rusty. In any case, I took the opportunity to delete other databases on this server that were no longer needed, and while I was at it, a few locally stored databases also fell victim to my cleanup; I only had the latter because they reminded me of the old days when you built your own databases and put them into operation.

And so I briefly tried to familiarize myself with one or the other database and see if there were any current versions of it at all, but then, probably due to yesterday's temperature, I stopped quickly and deleted these from my servers as well.

I now have so much free space that I'm already considering whether I shouldn't also ship my small home server to the cloud - I'll have to take a look at the amount of data and test how quickly the data will be sent to me To be available.
