Adams Æbler

If you unexpectedly have a little more time than originally planned and you just don't feel like reading a book, then it's worth taking a look at your own video store again. Unlike Thomas Jensen managed to get me interested in Danish film in 2005. Perhaps it was very helpful that I had been working productively with Danish comrades for a good three years and thus got to know their humor and cultural idiosyncrasies better.

Adam's apples then came to German cinemas in 2006 and was also a success there. And a good 17 years later, this comedy is still well worth seeing. The story is told quickly. Ivan, a pastor, Adam tries to rehabilitate a neo-Nazi. Gunnar, an alcoholic, Khalid a robber and Sarah are more or less helpful to him.

The really interesting thing is that the film has not lost its topicality even today. And the only unrealistic thing about the film is that Unlike Thomas Jensen thinks that Nazis can be resocialized — I put that under black humor.

Khalid: "I'm flying out of this fag country."

Tradition

With us in Heilbronn it has been since Hans Hoffman Tradition that municipal council, mayor and other city administration employees like to take care of Heilbronn's problems abroad. So it is not surprising that those responsible are simply not there when it comes to problems in Heilbronn.

And if you constantly look at the problems of our city from as far away as possible and move in Heilbronn only in selected circles, then it can happen that you yourself believe the things that the paid calligraphers (marketing) serve up.

If you take this into account, it is no longer surprising that the social mayor knows no poverty in Heilbronn or that the mayor in Heilbronn only walks on clean streets.

Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea at all if the city leaders were obliged not to look at Heilbronn's problems in Milan or other beautiful cities, and if the municipal councils were obliged to live in Heilbronn at least a little more than half the year.

I am convinced that as soon as those responsible for the city step on feces themselves, are hit by e-scooters and cyclists, trucks dodge in the pedestrian zones and have to be hassled by beggars, peddlers or drunk people, they will also become a little more motivated to tackle Heilbronn's problems.

Lawless

The best comment I've read on the current events surrounding our professional politicians says that you don't have to do everything that's allowed. However, we have achieved a whole new quality of lawlessness with the fact that in Baden-Württemberg you can really do anything if you just sit at the source and can instruct the judiciary simply not to investigate.

We all know: "where there is no plaintiff, there is no judge". But now we also have to acknowledge that our judiciary is not responsible for professional politicians, ergo, no matter how many plaintiffs may appear, as a minister you are ex officio above the law. Only an independent judiciary could remedy this situation. The problem with us, the topic of “independent judiciary” has long since ceased to be part of legal training.

In this way, our professional politicians will be able to continue to lead totally irresponsible lives at our expense, their antics large and small entertaining our fellow citizens in the best possible way, and that is what really counts with us.
