As soon as we finished sorting our campaign posters, we passed Herbert Burkhardt I hope we have a cup of coffee together. The people from Neckargarta have already had this meeting, the people from Heilbronn will follow next Monday. And the remaining districts will also hold such a meeting - at least that is the recommendation of the association's board to the members and candidates.
In any case, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep the most highly motivated election campaigners in check, which is understandable, since the Free Voters only have the opportunity to do this every five years - and there are fellow citizens who actually enjoy election campaigns and don't see the election campaigns as a tiresome fulfillment of their duty so that they can sit on the local council again for five years without any worries.
Oh yes, the coffee with me Herbert Burkhardt took a little longer, which messed up my other appointments. The presentation for the Europa Ball has to be finished today and then we can start preparing for the trip to Strasbourg tomorrow morning.

Yesterday was entirely dedicated to discussions, with the focus being on the upcoming local council election campaign. In addition, a few corresponding emails were sent back and forth; There is no meaningful conversation without preparation and follow-up.
More emails will follow today and probably another meeting on site Herbert Burkhardt. It's actually a great pleasure when you have many active and highly committed election campaigners. The problem is that the political competition and the city administration have to be able or willing to tolerate it. So that just gives me the impression that they would like to reduce the election campaign to an absolute minimum, with everything regulated down to the smallest detail and coordinated between the “competitors”. It will not be possible to regulate solely whether and who checks where.
Less pleasingly, and something I had already feared in 2019, the housing situation in Heilbronn has continued to deteriorate, despite the commendable commitment of individual citizens. You just have to certify it like that, Our local councilors have been snoring again for the last five years!

Time flies
Hardly two decades have passed when I meet up with an old comrade again. We can certainly now be described as such. The last time we sat together was in the noughties in a corner bar in my hometown, when he was passing through. Yesterday we sat in another one, less than 100 meters from the old, no longer existing pub. Actually there is no need to write, Norbert was on a journey.
I recognized Norbert immediately, work keeps you young! Too much work creates gray temples, which is not the case with Norbert. It's very gratifying that Norbert has been able to expand his company into a market leader over the last few decades; my corresponding activities were nowhere near as successful. Worth noting for soldiers, we both continue to be blessed with the same significant others.
Norbert would now like to slow down a bit and so I hope that it won't be another two decades before we can sit down for a cup of coffee again.
