Community life
Today's focus is certainly the application of the Hertenstein Talks, whereby I Herbert Burkhardt was able to help set up the Free Voters' Stand in Neckargartach. Later, I stocked the stand with my better half and greeted today's stand operators. It is a pleasure that enough free voters have turned up to look after the beer stand at this year's wine gathering. I'll stop by again tomorrow and on Sunday my better half will be standing with me in the stand to serve beer to the guests at the wine club. My most loyal readers will know that we met at a similar event over 30 years ago.
Incidentally, we are still refining our free voter list for the upcoming municipal election campaign; this would have been completed long ago when the Heilbronn city administration finally got out of their heads. So we have to hope that the form we need for the list will be sent to us in September — unfortunately, delays are not only affecting the railways; the very latest deadline for the city government was August 22, 2023.
At the end of my club work today, I was able to learn a few new dance steps — whether I can still dance these next week remains to be seen.
city pool
Our indoor swimming pool is actually getting old, although I still remember very well the walks through the construction site at the time. And so it's right to think about what's next for him.
The most recent plans for the new Wollhaus (former municipal baths) show that you don't have to think about demolishing the old building right away and that it's better to make something contemporary and fully functional out of the old building.
The problem in Heilbronn is probably whether the site has not already been promised to someone else, but in any case that the sports pool should continue to be made into a fun pool.
And both can hardly be achieved in the old place. That's why the demands of various factions have recently exploded, bringing the most impossible and remote places in Heilbronn into play. These local councilors completely forget that a city pool is not only a source of traffic - one of the few remaining in the city center - but also has an original purpose to fulfill, namely that the people of Heilbronn can learn to swim there, the students can do their school sports and train swimmers .
If we focus on exactly this task, then we can turn the current Stadtbad into a really good new Stadtbad — an urban gem in just the right setting.
In addition, the Neckarhalde can be expanded into a swimming center, especially if you want to promote competitive sports - as is currently the case in Heilbronn (!).
Paula Fuchs Allee
It was with great pleasure that I learned that City Councilor Elke Roth continued to vehemently support Paula-Fuchs-Allee at yesterday's CDU summer press conference. As I already did often written, has it Paula Fuchs doesn’t deserve to be crippled into a “Susanne Bay dead end.”
Therefore, here is the current demand of the CDU parliamentary group, for which Elke Roth responsible for:
"Sticking to the Paula-Fuchs-Allee lifeline!
The Neckarbogen is growing steadily, even if the development of the building sites - influenced by various external factors - is not happening as quickly as planned and expected.
Investors expect planning security with regard to the expansion of Paula-Fuchs-Allee all the more urgently and enjoy protection of confidence with regard to the associated traffic development of the Neckar bend. Just like the lightning bridge that was promised and then built.
A promise is a promise and will not be broken... But joking aside...
If the Paula-Fuchs-Allee is actually up for grabs, investors are threatened with jumping out and the city administration with possible claims for recourse.
For 15 years, Heilbronn and above all the city center of Heilbronn have been waiting for the ring closure, which can only be achieved with Paula-Fuchs-Allee to ensure that the city center is easily accessible. This was also assured again when Kranenstrasse was closed in the run-up to BUGA.
Paula-Fuchs-Allee acts as a lifeline for the city center and the Neckarbogen. Both the E-Quartiersgarage, which was ordered for 2 million euros, and the Josef Schwarz School require good accessibility - and that through two developments.
The traffic report for the Neckar bend prepared in 2022 assumes that there will be traffic bottlenecks with increasing settlement if Paula-Fuchs-Allee is not connected to Hafenstraße. The determined parking space requirement in the Neckarbogen amounts to 1 parking spaces, which also have to be accessed.Common sense also tells you that not almost 4 people can reach and leave the district just via the bottleneck of the bridge. If there were construction work on the bridge or accidents in the area of the bridge, the area would be almost impossible to reach or leave. If the neighborhood has to be evacuated for any reason, how should this be done in a sensible and orderly manner?
From a legal point of view, a level crossing at the level crossing is unfortunately not possible, as this level crossing was never dedicated to the public and therefore the cheapest and fastest solution is off the table.
Elke Roth, August 31.8.2023, XNUMX
According to Mayor Ringle, the city administration wants to stick to the tunneling plans, which the CDU parliamentary group very much welcomes, but we do not agree with a decision on construction phase 2.2 in 2028, as construction and completion would then be delayed by a further 10 years.
The expansion of Paula-Fuchs-Allee should take place as quickly as possible and not be postponed any further. A new road connection in the form of a tunnel is essential for us, and we will stick to it. We expect the administration to make proposals on this much sooner.”
And with it the Green Party group and their mayor Andreas Ringle Paula-Fuchs-Allee cannot be prevented any further, appropriate majorities are needed after the upcoming local council election - we citizens are called upon to do this on June 9, 2024!
The strongest possible Free Voters faction will take the CDU at its word and will be happy to support it in this regard.
