I agree with the opinion of some bloggers that the world would be a lot better if (almost) everyone had their own blog. Thanks to some companies and organizations, personal weblogs can now be run for free or at least almost free for users, depending on personal taste and wallet.

In addition, you hardly need your own computer skills anymore, because some blogs are already online when you register and just need to be filled with content - very similar to them Social Media, only with a few key differences: Bloggers write under their own names and do not hide themselves and their views in a sometimes very ominous mass. In addition, their opinions and changes in opinions are easier for readers to understand.

Some blogs have also been described continuously for a good two decades and therefore offer good sources for almost everything that has interested and concerned people over the years. And since most of the posts there are not microblog posts, they can at least be somewhat understood even after years; This means that such contributions will not later become digital garbage that is increasingly filling the Internet.

Today one can ask oneself whether the Internet e.g. B. millions of cat pictures every day including the statement 'oh how cute!' needed or, Thomas Michl Please forgive me for this, a coffee cup in the morning with your current coffee consumption? I'm not even writing about the many pictures that portray what I've just eaten. I'm now almost ashamed of the many beer bottle pictures I've shared on social media. But I'm not the only one who is now using social media a completely outdated way of communication occur - Twitter and Co. have outlived themselves faster than many assumed.

More and more bloggers are saying that they no longer share their own posts on social media, weblogs are becoming more popular again and the blogroll is also becoming more important again.

Even pure readers of blogs are increasingly using the email notifications offered there about new blog posts or even the good old RSS: feed readers instead of social media!

In order to make blog writing a little more palatable for my own readers who don't yet have a blog, I would like to point out the fact, which should not be underestimated, that with your own blog you also remain in control of your own posts and pictures. Once “X” or Instagram is gone, that’s it for your own content. This also applies to Linkedin and the many other so-called social media.
