Navid Kermani In an article from September 22, 2023 entitled “How can this end?”, he thinks about how the Russian attack on Ukraine can be ended.
As nice as it may sound to simply freeze a war, it still doesn't solve the real problem. Above all, and I have already written it many times, it gives the Russian Federation the break it needs to refresh its own troops and continue to compete against the rest of Europe in ten years at the latest.
Navid KermaniThe hope that the West can bring the Russian Federation to its senses during this time and that everything will get better on its own is a catastrophic fallacy. This way of thinking - this used to be called appeasement - is what got Europe and the West and especially Ukraine into this mess!
But such a “freezing of the war” will actually happen, because in doing so our completely irresponsible politicians will buy themselves another ten years and fulfill their very own clientele's last wish, namely to continue living in luxury until their own demise - of course, as before, exclusively at the expense of future generations!
