In order to put this knowledge into perspective a little, I would also like to remind you of this weblog here, which can actually be read by all readers free of charge. There are also no "additional costs" that are usual on the Internet, such as e.g. B. the evaluation of the surfing behavior of the readers, a transfer of personal data or even the insertion of advertising.
And so it would probably be more correct to write that you should take a closer look at those things that are offered to you “for free”. And if this is the case, then it is usually a matter of self-exploitation on the part of the providers or their mostly vain hope of being able to open up markets in the future.
And no social media product can do it like that Twitter that is offered to all users free of charge, without advertising or other "payment methods" - unless Elon Musk would be a hopeless philanthropist, or worse, an altruist.
However, as we all know by now, the new Twitter owner is now trying to keep its latest acquisition alive by, among other things, charging users fees.
The question now would be what is tweeting worth to you. As I said, I run my own blog, have failed miserably with the social media start-ups I founded and am now very skeptical about these services — ergo, I'm not a dependent social media slave.
But what bothers me a bit is the fact that Elon Musks Claiming user fees not only meets with fierce resistance from Twitter followers, but also reveals an unbelievable view of humanity among many.
And so I've now brought myself to pay for my Twitter account, because I believe that Twitter is still the best social media product out there - in a way, I'm stating that a Latin proverb to the contrary, whereby the idea behind it remains the same.
