Feature photo: 3rd Hertenstein Talks 2019
This year, the 3rd Hertenstein Talks in Heilbronn were a complete success. This new, unpretentious and preferably non-hierarchical discussion format has proven itself and is already being recognized and approved by European federalists throughout Europe.
Although the Hertenstein Talks have found their home in Heilbronn, they keep the name of their place of origin, a district of Weggis in Switzerland. The first talks were held there in September on Lake Lucerne and ended on September 21, 1946 with the adoption of the Hertenstein Program, which is still one of the nine basic documents of all European federalists and is also the basic program of the EUROPA-UNION Germany.
The Hertenstein Talks in Heilbronn picked up the thread of the talks again and are trying to further refine the ideas and goals of the European federalists and thus contribute to the creation of a European federal state.
