reducing bureaucracy

Every year the parties demand a reduction in bureaucracy, which always leads to more bureaucracy and gives the parties the opportunity to demand even more reduction in bureaucracy before the next election campaign.

Too much bureaucracy arises solely because there are more bureaucrats than necessary and they want to justify their own existence through bureaucracy — the vicious circle has begun.

In the meantime, all administrations in Germany are among the scourges of mankind, the eighth, to be exact.

We have known everything, and have known for decades, that bureaucracy can only be reduced if the administrations are significantly downsized at the same time. In Germany we are now so far that you could lay off a good 50% of the employees and the bureaucracy starts to function again immediately without any further action. Then add some artificial intelligence, promote one or the other qualified employee and lay off 50% of the employees again.

Lo and behold, we have functioning administrations again.

Unfortunately, the current demand to reduce bureaucracy will again generate more unnecessary and unqualified employees, who will then have to manage the reduction in bureaucracy through even more bureaucracy.

Throw in a bit of corruption and nepotism and we're 'the sick man of Europe' once more.
