Blog posts are written, but not necessarily read. Since October 22, 2023, I have been using a very simple plug-in to determine approximately how many hits my blog posts have. So-called bots, i.e. hits from machines, are not to be counted.

With another plug-in, I allow readers to rate the posts with up to five stars. The results of these ratings are shown at the end of the posts and, like the counters, are intended to make other readers curious about my posts.

The whole thing is interesting for me too, because it gives me a little feedback on how often my posts are read and rated. Not every reader leaves a comment on the blog post, writes me an email or tells me their opinion in a conversation.

By the way, I chose the two plug-ins described because of their user-friendliness and because they do not collect any other analyzable user information about my readers.

For some time now, I have been listing on the homepage and under the “Contents” tab the blog posts that have been viewed the most recently and overall since counting began.

Below I list the ten blog posts that are rated best by readers.

[As of January 19.1.2025, XNUMX, this list could no longer be reproduced]

I also find this list very interesting, if only because I expected completely different contributions there.

“L'homme soit naturellement méchant, qu'il soit vicieux parce qu'il ne connaît pas la vertu, qu'il refuse toujours à ses semblables des services qu'il ne croit pas leur devoir, ni qu'en vertu du droit qu'il 'il s'attribue avec raison aux choses dont il a besoin.”

Jean-Jacques Rousseau, DISCOURS ON THE ORIGINE AND LES FONDEMENTS DE L'INÉGALITÉ PARMI LES HOMMES (1755)
