When I was in school, I used the books from Tom sharpe, to iron out existing dents in my good mood. However, Sharpe's books are best read in their original language so that you don't miss any allusions, no matter how small.
In the years that followed, Sharpe's books were required reading for me and, since he only published sixteen books in all, a manageable challenge.
belong to this day Riotous Assembly (1971) and Incident Exposure (1973) among my favourites, followed closely by Want (1976) and The Wild Alternative (1979), which we better call “Trot for Henry“ is known. However, the latter two books can only really be enjoyed if one also has some marital experience.
A few of his books have even been made into movies, but I wouldn't recommend it, as Sharpe is best enjoyed when you use your imagination.
