Today there are still 10 days until the election and as far as I know, no one has announced that this is at least a super-duper election. Those who have been involved in politics for a while know the seriousness of both elections - yes, we are voting for two “parliaments” in Heilbronn. Those of us with a more scientific bent are also discussing whether both representatives of the people actually have parliamentary character, although this in no way diminishes the importance of both elections.
The topic of this blog post is not the significance of both elections, my readers are certainly familiar with them, but I would like to talk a little about the fun-lovers among us who finally become halfway awake and quite active less than 14 days before the election. I can hardly save myself from offers to talk now!
In all seriousness, I was asked whether I would appear at the discussion “Little children tell adults about the world” and whether I would be instructed accordingly. I already have to deal with young competition who can't even find the town hall without mommy or daddy. Well, I was also politically active at their age, had already co-founded a youth organization and was still at school myself, but I wasn't so crazy that I wanted to explain the world to adults. And in contrast to these young political stars, I had neither problems with my teaching nor with my university studies, both of which I completed successfully.
Instead, a few complete losers who haven't even managed to complete a year of social work are now telling me how we can move our city forward or even make it better. Before I tell others how the world works, I should have at least successfully completed an apprenticeship or perhaps even a degree and also be able to support myself without a party. As soon as these ladies and gentlemen sit in our parliaments “without anything”, they completely freak out and treat their fellow citizens like idiots - ok, those who elected them are too!
But even citizens who would otherwise never be interested in politics and our community are now suddenly active and are seriously demanding an election program from the Free Voters - as my readers know, parties have election programs, at least they should have one in addition to their basic programs . The charm of the Free Voters is precisely that we want to make politics for our fellow citizens without fundamental principles and election programs! In doing so, we offer an alternative to the parties that are quite important and necessary for democracies - an alternative, to be sure; we do not intend to replace parties. But we would be happy if these could be at least a little better, e.g. B. by increasingly fielding candidates who can and do something themselves.
One of our local representatives was recently really upset that he was no longer invited to important discussions, which I can certainly understand since he has nothing to say. Even more stinking were a few completely crazy fellow citizens who called on us Free Voters to, among other things, increase pensions, remove asylum seekers and other fellow citizens from Germany and otherwise ensure that the benefits that probably exist in the Russian Federation for pensioners to also introduce it to us. Of course, these demands were accompanied by an ultimatum and a note that we should also send our answers to completely unknown people.
With this blog post I am avoiding answering a few electoral questions about education policy, although the authors actually only want to know what we as free voters want to do so that they as parents have to worry even less about their own brood.
As chairman, I can't speak for the Free Voters in terms of content and that's why I once asked our members, who are also experienced in education and school policy, for their opinion in order to then politely state one thing or another - you simply can't tell everyone affected , that he is not “the brightest candle on the cake” (I just got this from Gerd Hofmann accepted).
But as a free voter, I can say that I personally think it would be a good thing that we not only introduce a parent's driver's license, whereby parents only receive child benefit and other transfer payments with a valid parent's driver's license, but also a voter's driver's license that ensures that everyone eligible to vote have at least a little idea of what they do with their little crosses.
I actually wanted to say a lot more and more clearly here in this blog post, but then I asked Herbert Burkhardt for support, as one of our 30 construction fences was removed from its anchorages and thrown into the field by a few fellow citizens for the second time. Regardless of the damage caused, these rioters should know the danger that a construction fence lying around can pose. And so these people, like most other idiots, simply accept that their fellow citizens are endangering life and limb in a completely unnecessary way.
