Why does Germany's largest gas storage facility belong to Gazprom?

Florian Guessgen This was exactly the question asked in Wirtschaftswoche on January 28, 2022. In doing so, he notes two things: firstly, a “dramatic dependency of the Germans on Putin's gas” and secondly, that parliament and the government have been warned of this development for a very long time.

But what else can we expect when Putin has been buying into German politics for years, alongside Gerhard Schroeder, who has had a very lucrative job in Russia for a long time, there are other — also still active — politicians who are paid for their “services as consultants” or receive campaign help.

Norbert Roegen As a representative of a party primarily responsible for this misery, however, sees this somewhat differently: "We underestimated the dependency and the security policy risks that arise from this relationship." (Wirtschaftswoche, January 28.01.2022, XNUMX)

I bet that once the memory is completely empty, everyone responsible will insist that they didn't know anything about any of this, but then they can definitely name "the scapegoats" for it — the Americans do me already sorry.

Politicians without professional qualifications must not become the norm

Oliver Maksan states on February 1, 2022 in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ): “The new Greens chairmen Ricardo Lang and Omid Nouripour have neither a university degree nor a professional qualification. The phenomenon also exists in other parties.” And therefore the question arises: “But with what credibility do such politicians want to advertise advancement through education?”

He speaks from my heart and takes up a topic that I have been addressing here in Kümmerle's weblog for years.

Oliver Masks close his contribution with the following words: “Nevertheless, the seamless transition from party structures to parliament should not become the norm. Otherwise there is a risk of parliamentary cast-off.” — And it's already five to twelve!

Have Arguments For Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now

Right from the start I used all sorts of social media myself, but right from the start I was always torn as to whether this was the right thing to do! Especially since it was foreseeable very early on that it is not about the best possible communication among each other, but about the greatest possible marketing of the users.

In the beginning I tried to create such websites myself in order to offer a system that was as ethically correct and useful as possible for communication - the market punished all my attempts.

Some time ago I started again to thin out my existing accounts. So it is now quite good that me Constantine Kummerle the book of Jaron lanier from 2018 entitled "Ten Arguments For Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now" next to my laptop.

Just to even have a chance to get halfway done with the existing stack of books next to my favorite seat, I immediately had to release my last Facebook pages for deletion. And as soon as these have disappeared into digital nirvana, my corresponding account will follow. The conclusion will then be the correction of the relevant weblog post.

I leave the question open as to whether I will also delete my Twitter and Linkedin accounts.

Jaron lanierThe 10 arguments listed speak for themselves, although you don't have to follow every argument yourself. His first argument, that social media is destroying free will, is probably the most decisive, although some scientists are now doubting whether there is such a thing as free will at all.

His 7th argument is probably the most understandable for most readers: social media makes users unhappy. In any case, I recommend everyone to deal with Lanier's ten arguments. Whether or not you then also part with your beloved accounts is your own decision — let's assume that there is or still is something like your own decision.

The book has 146 pages and is a very quick read; so it doesn't lie on your own stack of books for so long.

You can find the relevant book on Amazon here:

"Addiction gradually turns you into a zombie. Zombies don't have free will. Once again, this result isn't total but statistical. You become more like a zombie, more if the time, than you otherwise would be."
