Wirtschaftswoche recently described Heilbronn as an ideal "commuter location – right between the car stronghold of Stuttgart and the SAP Mecca of Sinsheim.” She attributes the current construction boom — “Nowhere in the past few years have more apartments been completed than in Heilbronn.” — to this.

Even if I have a different opinion in this regard, this conclusion from Wirtschaftswoche should nevertheless lead to the municipal council and city administration finally making an effort to connect Heilbronn to European rail transport in a modern and urgently necessary way.

And I'm no longer talking about an ICE connection - Heilbronn's main train station is currently being further reduced in size, clearly signaling that Deutsche Bahn will be doing without.

"I stop somewhere waiting for you."

Walt Whitman, Song of Myself (1855 and 1892, last line of each)
