Detlef Stern Use music to get yourself in the right mood when correcting exams. I'm currently looking for the right music to prepare for the last newsletter of the weekend.
The Bee Gees I've had it running in the background for a while, but it's still far from enough to start the round disk. And so I rummaged through my files a little... and found what I was looking for.
Marshall Hain and her song “Dancing In The City” from 1978. Anyone who was halfway through the 1970s knows this one-hit wonder and many wonder who the song actually came from when it comes on the radio again can be heard.
The group consisted of Kit Hain and Julian Marshall, who got together in London in 1976, brought this hit into the charts in 1978 and went their own way again in 1979 (!).
Kit Hain is still known to one or two reading sponsors as a children's book author (The Flame in the Mist); she now lives in the USA. Julian Marshall now works as a lecturer; his later attempts at music were less successful.
