Johnny Cash was probably the first "Man in Black" (1971). His interpretation of "Ring of Fire" (1963) should be familiar to every one of my readers. At the end of his life in 2003, he left behind more than 1 of his own songs and dozens of albums.
His version of “Personal Jesus” can be found on “American IV: The Man Comes Around” from 2002, his last released record.
The original, however, was by Depeche Mode. "Personal Jesus" (1989) was the first single from the studio album "Violator" (1990). The song "Enjoy the silence“ is already here in the blog.
"Violator" is the seventh album by the group, which formed in 1980 and had already caused a sensation with the song "Just Can't Get Enough" on "Speak & Spell" (1981). "People Are People" on "Some Great Reward" (1984) also became a catchy tune.
After 1990, however, I hardly noticed the group anymore and so it was Johnny Cash, who brought it back out of obscurity for me.

Put me to the test"
