I've just got back to Ludwig feuerbach looked up, which in "science and religion' states the following.

"If you want to improve the people, instead of declamations against sin, give them better food. You are what you eat."

I left out the appendix with the vegetarians, because it probably leads to a whole new discussion. But if you want to find out more about the whole thing now, I recommend: Werner Schuffenhauer, Ludwig Feuerbach, Collected Works, Vol. 10, Smaller Writings III (1846-1850), Akademie-Verlag Berlin, 2nd edition 1982.

Even if I can still fully understand Feuerbach's statement today, I have come to the conclusion that this topic has long since taken on completely different dimensions.

Marco Ferrery put it in a nutshell in 1973 in “La Grande Bouffe” for the higher earners among us. Less than 40 years later, we can assume that it has now escalated into a problem for society as a whole. The great gluttony is now taking place everywhere and sin is fought everywhere with gluttony.

In the meantime there are even entire shipping lines that serve the sole purpose of gluttony, and on whose ships the accompanying program is only due to better digestion; here one clearly learned from Ferreri.

And for those who can't afford or don't like such orgies, there's junk food and candy bombs that ensure that we humans can already break even into the hippo weight class.

As already said, man is still what he eats, only obviously better food does not help much against sin, and certainly not for the betterment of the people.

That's why I simply recommend instead of the better dishes better books and claim that you are what you read.
