“Being and Time” is pounding around in my head all day long. So it is probably right that we shouldn’t ask ourselves what a hammer actually is, but rather when a hammer is a hammer?
Ergo, not what kind of white box that is standing there in the corner, but why is there something in the corner that could be described as a white box, and then immediately how long has it been for or how long will it be for?
And finally, we come back to the question: what am I actually doing here? The answer to this question even makes the pressing question of “how much longer?” superfluous — and this all by itself.
But that answer — as we all should already know — is not 42!
