Heilbronn bathing fun

When I was young, Heilbronn was often confused with Hanau, especially by people from northern Germany, because these fellow citizens did not know our city and consequently assigned the number plate "HN" to the city of Hanau.

Starting with the BUGA, but probably more since we were regularly in all media than COVID-19 exception area are mentioned, you no longer have to worry about the popularity of our city; you could even expand on this and advertise us as the German Ischgl. We can't keep up when it comes to snow, but we make up for this shortcoming with our pubs — and après-ski has long been given a higher priority.

So it happened last weekend that friends from outside took the opportunity to take a closer look at the city with the highest COVID-19 incidence and to get an idea of the possible reasons.

In the discussion that followed, education and the lack of or inadequate social behavior of the residents quickly came up, but also the obvious deficiencies in city controls.

What was new for me was the observation that a number of young people gained access to the Heilbronn baths over the fences at the weekend. This also explains the reports from swimmers that there were hardly any or no swimming lanes in the pools, although the pools were not sufficiently occupied. I suspect here that the Schwarzbader think these wristbands are entry wristbands and once they get hold of them, they don't give them back.

But this observation also explains why I have repeatedly observed fully clothed people in the outdoor pool of the Soleo in recent years and have not been able to make any sense of it up to now.

Regardless of how you feel about fare evasion or bathing, it is actually a question of life and death, especially in today's situation, because no swimmer assumes that he will share the pool and the pool edges or sunbathing areas with dozens of young people who have not had any previous COVID-19 testing and are therefore potential super spreaders.

And like back then in Ischgl, ignorance and negligent looking the other way is not a good solution!

What can you do?

From now on, the wristbands that have been used in the Soleo for time recording for a few years are handed out at the access control in all Heilbronn baths. And as soon as a bather does not have such a bond, he is expelled from the bath. At least such a control should be worth the health of us Heilbronners to our city administration!

"It's a different world where you can't distinguish between "freedom" and "leisure time", say "society" and mean "target group", talk about a "concept" and don't even have an "idea", about a " idea" and doesn't even have an idea."
