Education is more than vocational training and further education, which only serves to provide the market with suitable workers. Education turns people into responsible citizens and thus creates the basis for any functioning democracy. In my opinion, education is not only a civil right, but above all a civic duty!
An city is characterized by the fact that it offers its citizens and its region as much infrastructure as possible that is available. This is one of the reasons why Heilbronn urgently needs its own university, which houses chairs in both the natural and social sciences.
Without a doubt, this contributes to Heilbronn becoming even more attractive overall and, above all, to the fact that Heilbronn can attract people and companies who are absolutely dependent on the existence of higher education and the high technology that goes with it.
I maintain that a university of its own is one of the fundamental necessities for the future of every large city and its citizens.
