Data and non-smoking protection

These are two laws that I personally don't think are bad, even if the latter in Germany was once again more red tape than usual.

For some time now, these two laws have also been increasingly overridden by the "Lex Covid-19". Let's take the Privacy regulation, which demands a lot from every weblog writer, no matter how young, but hardly needs to be considered except by them.

Since the beginning of the year I have been inundated with unsolicited advertising mail from administrations and companies. It doesn't help at all if you keep unsubscribing from them - this only leads to validating your own e-mail address and even more data garbage.

And anyone who believes that the state data protection officer and his staff can help you, also believes in Santa Claus.

I assume that this is only a problem for a few, the rest hardly or seldom looks in their own digital inbox, or is even happy that they get as much colorful mail as possible.

Worse, as this not only harms the environment and wastes resources, but also harms the health of many, is the increasing lifting of the smoking ban in public buildings, swimming pools, train stations, bus stops and restaurants of all kinds. Thanks to COVID-19, our smokers are allowed to indulge their addiction again almost everywhere uninhibited and molest their fellow citizens again.

I will now start with it - as a self-defense situation so to speak - all my previous ones restaurant recommendations to change in this regard.

“The frog was so sick for three weeks!

Now he's smoking again. Thank God!"

Wilhelm Busch, Münchener Bilderbogen (1862: No. 325, The Two Ducks and the Frog)
